Plus, there's the issue of Momowei always being to careless with his fouls against teams with skilled bigs.
I honestly don't think much of UE. People forget UE won on a buzzer beater against AdU, came from behind thanks to Galang's pair of back to back threes against FEU, and almost allowed DLSU to come back and force OT while up by 11 in the final 2 mins of the 4th.

UST is who I think is the real threat. They have all the talent to measure up against the top two. It's really about them buying into Pido's system.

I get it but you can’t say all of that then bring up UST who actually lost to adamson.

UE will be a threat only if Momowei improves his play. He has regressed this season and I've noticed too much complaining from his end. UST has indeed improved but there are still holes in their game (e.g. guard play beyond Padrigao, undersized bigs though Crisostomo has been a revelation this season, Cabanero playing too much hero ball at times).

I'm mostly disappointed with NU though. I really like their lineup and they've been on the losing end of 3 close games I believe.

The purpose is to shed some light on how they won their games. And looking at their roster on paper, they've overachieved.

UST on the hand is underachieving given its roster.

I agree with this. Kudos to UE for their record, but the way they've won games is not sustainable.

I guess the barometer will be the second round encounter with DLSU.

            • UST would've lost alot more if Padrigao didnt control UST's gung ho offense at the end of every game.

                I guess judge for yourself?

I keep playing it back at the 2-3 second mark and I only see Torres passing by and Coach Topex, hands on waist, still looking at the play. If he spat on him his body would've moved slightly forward or he could've wiped his mouth from the excess saliva. Video was shot too far too. Weird though that Torres passed too close in front of the DLSU bench. Oh well...

Actually, what I saw is that when he reacted, he was actually in front of Caloy and not Topex.

But you know, UP fans are considering this conclusive evidence already LOL

They’re being delusional at this point & focusing on “moral victories”. They should instead be preparing for the 2nd round, as their weaknesses were exposed in their game vs DLSU & will be exploited by the other teams

So Coach Topex's head movement as Torres passed by was just a nod of greeting?

Looking at the spliced slo-mo video, the head movement was emphasized. The normal clip is unremarkable. Maybe that’s just me.

I guess this is the hill UP wants to die on, so be it.

                            • nothing's going to come out of this. the footage is too far. but whether if it's true or not, UP has extra motivation in the following games. this isn't their first incident.

                              • Instead of focusing on that supposed spitting issue I think UP would be better off focusing on improving themselves for the second round
