That's literally what Coach Topex and the team prepared for. Topex said this in an interview that they anticipate he will.

Heck, he didnt even sleep prior to the FEU game to be there for his partner the night prior.

See when caring for an infant, you never know when you need to be there especially if you're a first time parent.

    • makes me wonder though if KQ might stay for a few years in PBA while taking care for his child, also this is definitely the main reason why he stayed for one more year in La Salle

      • Lian Ramiro is so frustrating. On one hand, he is talented and skilled enough to be in the upper echelon of UAAP guards. I believe he has the talent to replace Nelle but for whatever reason, he just defers to his teammates. If he is to raise his draft stock and stay in the PBA he needs to be more aggressive.

He's repeatedly dropped hints that he's going to KBL next season.

Who is better. Keyshawn Meeker or Lian Ramiro

Ramiro if im not mistaken came in kinda late in joining the green archers camp. Only had 3 months before the season started. Prolly havent had that solid chemistry with his teammates yet to be effective.

The hype around Meeker was understandable. He was touted as a young Stanley Pringle. Unfortunately he got hurt and never really regained his confidence.

Lian came out of nowhere but CTR saw potential and brought him in to help.

His game is predicated on on-ball scoring. Aside from getting out of his way and setting screens, his teammates can't really help him in that regard.

He can handle, create space and shoot. He just doesn't do it nearly enough to offset the loss of Nelle

Going one and done is hard, especially for a guard. Even Schonny wasnt good his first year.

FWIW, NCAA also had this rule just recently before our "visionary" board members banned FSAs. San Beda in 2019 had Arnaud Noah and Donald Tankoua as their FSAs and both are in the lineup.

                      LPU: Mbida and Nguidjol
                      SBU: Ola and Tankoua

What? Schonny was already unstoppable in his first year and led DLSU in scoring with a line up that included Baltazar.

Same why Bolick decided to stay here because of his newborn child... If he decides to stay here and join the PBA, for sure Terrafirma will go all out and tank for his mother SMC teams... Hahahhahahahhaha...

                            • Up is reasonably good, but still just a work in progress, in the sense that it still doesnt fully use its difficult-to-match advantages.

First, it can use true DDO, and not the disastrously wrong bansot DDO of the seyers. The correct idea is to use a big (6'5-6'8) super-athlete to explosively rampage through the shaded lane. He has 3 options: go for the humiliation tomahawk throwdowns, drop-pass to one of 2 well-positioned bigs near the basket, or bullet pass to opened catch-and-shoot 3point specialists. Chances are very good that the guy covering him cant stop all 3 options at the same time. Unless he is a monster defender athlete himself.

Up has tallish lopez, belmonte and torculas who can be easily converted to a pinoy poor-man's version of a bryant or pippen for this DDO assault. Up has trainable strong bigs and reasonable 3point shooters to make DDO work effectively, when sh*t hits the fan as opposing teams lock down on defense.

Second, up also clearly hasnt perfected a two- or three-man "bruise brothers" offense in the shaded lane. This is strange as any frontline combination of qmb, dikachi, stevens and alter cant be overmatched by any uaap, and probably pba, team today, in the past, and near-future. At the very least, they can send opponents to too-fast fouling hell in containing them. I feel up hasnt prioritized this, as sitio-style balling still works in the uaap.

The last 4 games of any uaap season are the worst, as the desperation and physicality of opposition defense reach fever pitch. These four games are when you use up's tall and strong bigs to very reliably punk out the "too-small bigs" of other uaap teams in choking zone and man-zone defenses.

Up's guards and small forwards though are more than decent already at full-court and half-court press defenses.
