Guys, what is the potential of Jacob Bayla becoming a legit shooting guard for Gilas in the future. As I've said before, I want to keep a distinction between the shooting guard & the small forward positions although both are considered wing positions. I noticed Bayla seems to be improving his outside shooting. But what about his handles? What about his defense?"A king may move a man, a father may claim a son, but that man can also move himself, and only then does that man truly begin his own game. Remember that howsoever you are played or by whom, your soul is in your keeping alone, even though those who presume to play you be kings or men of power, when you stand before God, you cannot say, 'But I was told by others to do thus,' or that virtue was not convenient at the time. This will not suffice." - King Baldwin IV

His defensive effort is the icing on the cake. Key for him is to continually "play up," right now he is young for UAAP so he is still getting pushed higher and is in a good situation. However, once he becomes good enough for overseas pro (or even go to D1) he should make the move.
He needs to be playing against SGs his size who are also athletic and skilled to really fast track his Gilas consideration. He's a perfect candidate for next man up for Dwight.

Between QMB & Hepa, I think mas may potential yung Hepa in my opinion.Philippine Malditas to FIFA Womens World Cup 2023
