Its because every spot matters. Whether its the starplayer or last man in the lineup. It matters. Every coach believes that. Im sure they want every one there ready to play and step in, especially if someone gets hurt or suspended. The season is short and fast. Games are condensed and all of these guys need to balance studies and being an athlete. So coaches would also like to keep the guys fresh especially if they want to go deep in the post season so even the last guy in the bench will most likely see action. It wouldnt be smart of them to include someone who did not merit it. In an ideal scenario, im sure they want the best of the best to be lined up.

The uaap baller season is short. You want guys throwing 2,000% taguro effort for 40 minutes. I remembee a team long ago -- u-tex? -- which popularized the notorious "slowbreak". They got burned down eventually.

Even wannabe superstars like quiambao and lopez will burn badly too if they try fancy moves. Only dlsu and up look stacked enough. This means teams with fewer good players will play much harder defense or attack with greater ferocity as compensating tactics.

Indeed, quiambao already plays -- and is paid lots more -- like a pba pro. If you are an unknown nothing, like an abando when he started out, wouldnt you want to be the injun who scalps kikiam? Abando did expose kobe "sub-par" sarap as a 3rd rate baller. Just like in the nba when many wanted to be famously known as the "jordan stopper".

Well, as expected, felicilda is useless for being too short and poor in both offense and defense. As expected too, the up bigs are serious problems for up opponents.

Maybe we see guys like CS (converted big) Fajardo and Kai SOtto as one in the blue moon bigs in terms of talent tenacity and physical gifts..

Maybe up guards should be coached one month by the reyeses (ok for beginner nash racela or eric gonzales),,. doesnt ahve the basic dribble drive instincts sayang they have their defensive a game though (that alarcon block over espina was all EGO..)
