I was surprised that mason hated to play big in u18 he was a beast as a prototype big ala melo anthony, milan macvan..OSme say jokic like pa nga..To becomes Asia's Best, we need to compete against the World's Best..
1 Big 4 small > 5 out offense.

Interesting things happening in the background. Hopefully MVP's anger leads to better things (change in management, recruitment etc.). IIRC, I read somewhere that he was really mad we lost to DLSU in 2007, and the following season, Ateneo ended up with a stellar recruiting class for 2008 (Salva, Buenafe, Chua), all of whom were key contributors in the 5-peat.
With regard to Amos's wish to be wing, I don't think he has the necessary foot speed to be one, at this point in time.

Like I said, some things were promised to Amos during recruitment (i.e. player skills development, cash bonuses etc). Some or most were not fulfilled. Failure on the coaching and the management side.
Kid wanted to develop as a wing. Coach said yes during recruitment but 2 years on, coach forces him to play as a big. Kid voices his concern, coach is busy with girls in LGV. Kid leaves.
We need Norman Black back ASAP.

if DLSU can accommodate this request, then that it best for Amos. if Amos can fully develop as a 3, similar to Javi GDL, it would be best for him, and also Gilas.

Amos felt the time to develop is now. His complains were falling on deaf ears. Norman would have never let it get to that point.
The difference in making him a shooting wing is like going from a Mac Belo type to a Matt Salem type. Tab simply wanted him to stretch the floor and be a 6'8 Anton Asistio. What kid wants that. Norman would have found a better compromise than that.
