  • Its early but Ramiro is looking good as a facilitator for dlsu. Makes good job finding open teammates and has that outside scoring you want in your guards.

    • WTH, Aguanne is just big. That's all.

Where are the Kouames, Mbalas, Abduls, Chabi Yos, Akhueties and the Dioufs in todays FSAs in UAAP?

Can u name names? Its all rumors, there is no right or wrong answers.

Also there is a post saying that 7 Gagates contract "prohibits" him to transfer to another UAAP sch?
Thats contrary to law, thus such stipulation is void.

100% staying: Alter, Udodo, Stevens, Lopez, Torculas, Belmonte, Briones, Alarcon, Bayla, Torres, Abadiano, Cagulangan, Walker.

Haven't been seeing Fortea and Felicilda in action recently but highly unlikely they're leaving given their playing years. Remogat seems like a lock to replace Maimai next year.

That leaves Coronel, Gagate, Andres (all three I think are injured for the year?), Yniguez, and guys like Tan and Rivero as those most likely leaving if ever.

On the FSA side, it was mentioned here in IBN that Coleman already left UP. That leaves Nnorunka and Wilmore as the remaining FSAs in the pool.
yniguez will play in season 88

Momowei of UE is the best one from this batch of FSAs. I'd probably rank them as follows:

            1. Momowei - UE
            2. Agunnane - DLSU
            3. Omar John - NU
            4. Udodo - UP
5 - 8. I'd say these FSAs are interchangeable in rank: Ojarikre (ADU), Konateh (FEU), Balogun (ADMU), and Osang (UST).

Ojarike should be dead last. Dude was just a little bit better than faty last season and seeing him play this year he hasent improved much. For ust i think tounkara will be their fsa. They need his presence in the post over osang's perimeter oriented game but he should be second to the last. Balogun in the games ive seen of him is decent, i dunno what his problem is now but maybe the the injury he's nursing is affecting him so for me he should be tied with konateh who's also been decent for feu. Your Top 4 is spot on for me but udodo for me has the highest ceiling of the 4 and should be the biggest riser in a season or 2. Momowei and agunnane as the tops fsas this years speaks a lot on how good the growth of local talents we've had over the years. Gone are the days teams had to find solid fsa's just to compete in the league.

              • Udodo has been playing better than Agunane.

Bonus skill: He can score in traffic. Aside from his reliable outside shooting. Poor man version of JV Casio.

                    It’s an unfounded rumor.

I don't have any inside knowledge, or do I hear any word on the street, buuut, if true, Seven has this clause and Pablo doesnt? That feels...inconsistent, for the lack of a better term.

Yes and that’s because he has better guards around him who feed him better. But skill wise, Agunanne is better.

Regarding the rumors of UP exodus 2.0, if Gagate still wants to have a pro career he really should move to the NCAA already. Andres is frankly not that good (DLSU didn’t even make moves to make him stay) and probably would not have made this year’s UP lineup even if he were not injured.

For DLSU, I think this will be the final 16 for UAAP, barring injuries:

                        KQ
                        MPhillips
                        Policarpio
                        Cortez
                        Austria
                        Abadam
                        Macalalag
                        David
                        Gollena

                        Agunnane

                        Dungo
                        Ramiro
                        Konov
                        Marasigan
                        Rubico
                        Gaspay

Eligible for S87 and have been playing in either Pinoyliga or Filoil:

                        Alian
                        Buenaventura
                        Buensalida
                        Romero
                        Zamora

I have not seen Jucom or Ogana recently.

I think Agunnane has the better skillset to be honest - better post moves, has the length for defense. For FSAs, I'd rather have a rock on defense ala Kouame or Malick than one who's good at scoring.

Udodo has the potential but would probably need a year or two to be a force. From games I've watched, he has stretches of being tentative and sometimes he misses easy gimme baskets. There's probably a reason why Alter has been starting most of the games recently for UP. That said, he's athletic and has good motor for his size. He can match up with Mike Phillips for instance.

                            • Udodo was able to shut down Philips. DLSU needs to rethink how their frontline will operate.

That's why these two teams are the best in the country right now. They match up so well.

                                Agunnane-Phillips vs Alter-Udodo.
                                Policarpio/Cortez vs Belmonte/Stevens Austria/Abadam/Gollena vs Alarcon/Torres/Torculas
                                Bayla vs Konov.
UP has the edge in guards (Cagu/Gerry/Janjan vs David/Ramiro/Macalalag) but bottomline, no one can defend KQ (Lopez doesn't have the defensive capability to shut down KQ).
