Was injured 2 days prior to the start of the tournament. He might not make it. If we reach u19 then he can play

          Nope bro.
It was referring to Kiefer Alas.
That Spin article described Kiefer Alas as the younger brother of NLEX guard & fellow national team player Kevin Alas.

Hope it's 3 to 4 weeks only. We need him in the Asian U-18 tournament. He & Andy Gemao can form a solid 1-2 punch.

              • That Hunter kid is incredibly atrocious.
Then we have so many kids who could atleast replace 3 to 4 spots from the team if they are dead serious on the next tourney
We can have no progress without change, whether it be basketball or anything else

                • so how can we get rid of the imbecile coach? This victory, unfortunately, will mask his utter incompetence.

Probably a petition to start to overhaul the coaching duties of the Youth Team,at least no more than 3 years even if said coach is very succesful.

wait for the formalities of SMC taking over SBP. they'll clean house and put their guys in all positions save for some where whoever is sitting can still work with them.
our hope, is they replace him with a better overall coach.

Hunter looks to have the length and hops. Is he homegrown? I did not see Medina again. But it seems the team was too dependent on Gemao. Often the play bogs down and it was more of Gemao looking for the cracks on the defense. Definitely not sustainable. And I think Gemao was played too much here. I get Josh wanted to secure the gold but he needs to develop sets that relies on Gemao’s athletic and strength advantage of this age group.

I saw a play without Gemao where the bigger player had a good look from 3 but opted to drive and kick for a worse look. I dont know if he wanted to run more time but generally basketball is a game of inches where teams generally match up well. If you get a good look from 3 you need to take it especially if you are not a good slasher.
Hopefully, we can recall Morales and Daja for the FIBA Asia U18. Even Diao for one of Lorenzo and Castillejos.

Only sure locks here should be Gemao, Medina, and Cabonilas. Maybe retain Esteban, Burgos, and one of Lorenzo and Castillejos so that we have depth at 4, and we can try Daja at 3.

What are the chances that they gonna have at least two players that stands at least 6'8?

Just thinking out load, maybe Josh is coaching for free. And SBP is not paying him.

In the states, it's called volunteering / community service. LOLZ
