Coming across a guy like that is always a possibility so guys with a lot to lose should be smart enough not to even put themselves in situations like that.
Yes, actually even during my time(this was yearss after they left school) i heard stories from my seniors about em. They have a reputation talaga, so us who where frosh at the time, were being told places to avoid lmao hahaha.

And exactly, as for JM, where in the hell were his entourage? Why was he alone there? I rarely see known personalities like him go out alone, even doing errands, they usually have someone with them.

    • Curious if our big wins against Hong Kong and Taiwan have an impact in our FIBA ranking and, if there is, how high?

Heat between the schools across each other was real. It was brawl on sight. It ended with a legendary 5 vs 20 where most of the 20 were hospitalized.

Yes, guys like JM should always be accompanied when going out especially if they plan on getting drunk. Being famous also always puts a target on your back.

        • Guys, judging from how the two teams played in the 1st window, who do you between Gilas & New Zealand would win if they are pitted against each other right now?
"A king may move a man, a father may claim a son, but that man can also move himself, and only then does that man truly begin his own game. Remember that howsoever you are played or by whom, your soul is in your keeping alone, even though those who presume to play you be kings or men of power, when you stand before God, you cannot say, 'But I was told by others to do thus,' or that virtue was not convenient at the time. This will not suffice." - King Baldwin IV

lol we won 106-53 and all those shots off Oftana were contested, drooling over Newsome lol

For me, if we want to start beating New Zealand, the best time will be on November. I believe that we have a system and the players are vying to it. Size and talent will not be the issue but the players' commitment to integrate on Tim's system.

I see New Zealand winning over Gilas but in a very close contest.

we need both aj edu and kai against the kiwis, and cone must consider a natural point guard in lieu of perez and will navarro or abando should get malonzo's slot

a natural point guard that does not get easily rattled and willing to take the physicality of a tall black guard.

Brownlee also a matured guy outside the court.. the rest are pure locals… Malonzo should be careful… He’s representing Gilas… He represents our country, he should be a good role model… He can do this after Gilas duties and no one cares…

Sometimes having a reasonable friend or two to be with you who's the designated non drinking buddy will steer him out of trouble. What trouble me was the little man just the "N" word,it pisses me off as much as someone calling me a "Flip".

I guess we will split our series match vs NZL… of course they will probably win in their home but I see us win against them in our home… this is now the best chance to beat NZL… If Jordan can beat them, then why not us, right?

Whatever started it, malonzo still has a case against the other guy for assault. Personally, if i was the guy and jm started it, i would just have let it go and be the better man. No use assualting a drunkard, and a known personality too. That's just trouble waiting to happen.

What ticks me off is no one is calling him out for dropping the "N" word to casually,Malonzo can also complain that it was a "hate crime".I would be curious if the courts will recognized it as so.

Just very little, since they both low level in terms of rankings, if we beat NZL (or either Latvia or Georgia in OQT) then our rankings will get higher since beating upper rank teams will get double rank points… Just look at SSD last World Cup, from 63 to 32 because they beating higher rank teams and Latvia from 26 to 8 place…maybe I expect we will be either 35 to 36 rank after the final games of 1st window today…

question is who started the fight? im sure anyone in a fit of anger will find it difficult to be "politically correct" during that moment.

no justifying a racial slur or anything, but when one is in a fight words will be said.

There's an article out on tbt, saying the guy is indeed a mma fighter or atleast training like one. And that jm apparently excused himself out of the game(coz of the gastro issue) and after doing so, went out for a few drinks at a certain doctor named resto. What happened after and how he got tangled up with the guy is still mystery. Another thing, i believe its frowned upon the mma community to engage in hostile acts against guys that arent trained, much less drunks who cant defend themselves.

Please spare me your bullshit and I dare you to translate everything I posted to Tagalog because there's a lot of things I never said or even alluded to (hala, dugo nanaman ilong mo boy). I can go on and on and even translate what you posted just to make you look that much dumber than you are.

You don't know basketball, what's worse is that you insist on knowing English. If not for the mods, I would strictly post Tagalog to you just to make you look dumb in two languages.

                                Let's start from the top:
                                - Did I even say or even allude to the word "reserves" or "15 players"? Tangina mo ha. Sinungaling ka pa. Putting your words in other people's mouths is what squatters do. I know you're too stupid to back read other people's posts so it's useless trying to get you to understand.

                                - No one's disputing his GOAT status in the PBA, but this is the still the fucking PBA we're talking about. An inferior brand of basketball with no parity whatsoever and if you switch his Ginebra players with Converge players, he'd whine about not having enough talent... which he has had a lot of for 12 years. Denzel Bowles, James Yap, PJ Simon, Marc Pingris, the entire Ginebra team. Wala pang jumpball alam mo na sino malamang mananalo. In the context of the PBA, is it really because of his coaching or because he has talent? Carry that over to Gilas, it's the same thing with having players with specific talents like Brownlee and Kai: take them out of the equation... the whole team looks weak. That's the reality of Tim Cone. Your point of having this core of players master the system is useless without the entirety of the core (sige nga, tagalugin mo nga 'yan). Gilas will run into far superior teams that have already seen Tim Cone's system with the same players and have an easy scouting report.
