  • Bad tune up series from Jordan, as they lost to Egypt badly (58-95).. although expected guys like RHJ, Al Dwairi to play for the qualifiers this week…

meanwhile Saudi again lost vs CAR (71-76).. they have a long way to learn the system of Nestor Garcia.. it is a long process.. although they keep try to learn…

While Jordan's starting 5 of RHJ, Al Dwairi, Fred Ibrahim, Amin Abuhawas, Sam Bzai & Hashem Abbas is definitely solid, the team's 2nd stingers are of insignificant value. This only exposes the lack of talent depth in Jordan basketball. Jordan doesn't come close to teams like Lebanon, South Korea, China in terms of talent depth.

You take away 2 of its starters & Jordan would become significantly weaker. Jordan's problem is that Al Dwairi is about to turn 31, Sam Bzai is now 30 yrs old & Abuhawas is 29. In 4 yrs time, these players would be on the twighlight of their careers. Who will be their successors?

"A king may move a man, a father may claim a son, but that man can also move himself, and only then does that man truly begin his own game. Remember that howsoever you are played or by whom, your soul is in your keeping alone, even though those who presume to play you be kings or men of power, when you stand before God, you cannot say, 'But I was told by others to do thus,' or that virtue was not convenient at the time. This will not suffice." - King Baldwin IV

      • While CJ Perez has already joined Gilas training in Laguna, Junmar Fajardo has yet to report for Gilas practice as he is recuperating from a calf injury.

In case Junmar can't join the team in the 1st window, would Justin Baltazar be called as Junmar's replacement? If Junmar can't make it & Baltazar would once again be left out, then alams na natin.

i think he is just having a rest. i dont think CTC will replace him. in this window, he wont be playing heavy minutes so its fine if he is included.

Jordan find ways to find their successors.. we said that before when we tell who will be the successor of Abbas bros and Sam Daghles… I think they have some good players in their youth program plus some American-Jordanians who were been recruited by Daghles itself… they will be fine… in the end, only 12 will be chosen, as long others have large pool of players, only 12 can play…

Jordan is significantly weaker sans Al-Dwairi and RHJ.

              Did Freddy play?

Their depth is simply not very good as it evident by the minutes played by their starters. Our bench outscored theirs in all matched as I recall.

Yes he did, so did fellow starters Amin Abuhawas, Hashem Abbas, & veteran center Mohammed Hussein. Missing are RHJ, Al Dwairi & Sam Bzai.

That is why very talented players are more important than very good coaches in a national team program… you can have very good coach but lacked of quality players then the program will not succeed… Indonesia, KSA and Bahrain have very good coaches and very good program, but they haven’t good talented players yet to program to succeed.. while team USA doesn’t need a very good coaches (although Steve Kerr is good) but they have lots of talent in their program… that is also why many disagree what Billy Manzano said to his podcast… Tab Baldwin is a very good coach but he also needs very good quality players to succeed… Do we think Tab Baldwin can lead Pakistan, Bangladesh basketball team into an Asian powerhouse in basketball? Answer is no because those teams have no quality players…

I think Bzai is still serving suspension.

                    • Balti or Laput in as Krakens replacement? Let's go wih young blood. New improve Kai is enough, but he still needs a reliever to give him a rest during his games against Hongkog and cT.

I think Laput isn't FIBA eligible.

                        • Lebanon escapes a nail-biting win over Iraq in a friendly game recently. Lebanon didn't have Arakji & Ali Haidar in this game.

It is possible Junemar worsened his calf by playing against doctors orders. It depends on the latest doctors prognosis. But as we saw in game 3 and 4 a hobbled June mar is vulnerable. If he is forced to play then aggravates his injury it doesnt really sound like a good plan.

I think Japeth will play instead. Kai and Jb starts and Japeth and Tamayo/Malonzo as relievers.

I expected JB at 4 anyways (he was a four in college, and has played both forward positions throughout his pro career). Let's see if he can help Kai out on defense. Last window, he couldn't help June Mar out on defense against Jordan and Lebanon.

He might punished atleast 16 months, same penalty as what Kiefer receives…
