I think taking 12 is just an excuse to not pick others that SMC/PBA doesn't like like Balti etc. There is no other big who has experience and is effective in Fiba. And yet their pulling back Aguilar's retired ass. With Edu's injury risk an alternate is needed for him.

LMAO, japs been wanting to retire since 2020. That's the problem when a country couldn't produce a handful of big-men with freakish athleticism above 6'9 locally. Mix of genetics and overreliance on foreign born players.

We have Baltazar to replace him.. But since Delta and SBP / SMC is not on good terms yet, we will not see Baltazar for future Gilas games…

He's TCs guy. At least he didn't get JDV instead of Tamayo and KQ. Or more of his Ginebra guys instead of Dwight etc.
