    Chiu

The oldest in that group is Arana, who turns 24 in May.

Just a call-up, even in the pool, so they can get a glimpse of the system of the new coach. We will need young guys who can fill in once the older guys get washed up.

That and I don't trust Edu's health and Kai's drama.

The last thing we need is to rely on Junemar and call Japeth out of retirement.

Also, where the fuck is Slaughter? He's old but a 6'11 big is still 6'11.

Ange is available. So, let's just call him up for this upcoming window. We'll also need his defense and rim protection. As for what you mentioned about AJ and Kai, that's exactly why we need a defensive presence at 4 and 5 as our NP. After AJ and Ange, no one else fits the bill.

On Greg, he's a pretty good defensive presence despite having a soft reputation and being slow, but he turns 36 in May.

          • I do hope the SBP decides to field the younger players for next month's FIBA window. I dont think sending in the older players like (Perez, Thompson, Fajardo, Pogoy, Abueva etc) would be ideal since most of these players just played a 5 month long conference by then. But I do think they should send Bolick, Oftana, Tolentino and even Newsome if they want that veteran presence in the team.

Bolick, Arvin, and Oftana fit the cycle, actually. They're all 28 (Bolick and Arvin turn 29 later on), and can be useful in a long-term core. We need to use this window to build our core for 2027/28. 2027/28 should always be in mind when making roster decisions in windows.

              • FOr momentum I think kq should be on the team as the top sf with oftana...
To becomes Asia's Best, we need to compete against the World's Best..
                1 Big 4 small > 5 out offense.

More like a combo forward bro like a Jamie Mallonzo.
"A king may move a man, a father may claim a son, but that man can also move himself, and only then does that man truly begin his own game. Remember that howsoever you are played or by whom, your soul is in your keeping alone, even though those who presume to play you be kings or men of power, when you stand before God, you cannot say, 'But I was told by others to do thus,' or that virtue was not convenient at the time. This will not suffice." - King Baldwin IV

No he can play the SF big SG position just fine,Malonzo is even too small in FIBA competitions,we seen that,Malonzo should just play a small 3 just like Navarro who's an inch taller, only combo forward with size in Gilas so far are the both 6'8 Tamayo and Balti. He looks fine in short increments at 2,he just need to get a trainer to improve his handles, after the season.

Actually, Malonzo has gotten better with his handle, and shoots well too. Shot creator na from the perimeter. He can play solid man-to-man defense also. So he really is becoming a natural wing.

I'd still take Dwight, Navarro, and Oftana when healthy, but Malonzo's not a bad choice for wing now.

Yes Malonzo has the physical tools to be an SF. He needs more reps. Unfortunately with the lack of PFs in our previous Gilas pool he was forced to play PF most of the time.

Homer also said that half the pool will be from the PBA, while the other half will be from B.League regulars. Included are Oftana, Scottie, and Dwight.
