But I will take this game since we saw what were the things that seemingly worked and those that were apparently not.
For one, we saw that Japeth-Edu frontline may work.
Another, June Mar is really defensive liability but really good in offense.
CJ Perez needs to be cut. His playstyle is really misplaced in Tim Cone's scheme of things.
The importance of bench and minute distribution to our players.
The importance of shooting.
The need of a guard that can actually shoot.
The need of a bigman that is two way.
These are important things to consider.
Well said bro.
CJ Perez seems to be declining as far as his FIBA game is concerned year after year. This to think that with Gilas in the 2019 FIBA World Cup, he & Robert Bolick were the best performers of the team.
I would replace Perez with Jordan Heading. As you said, shooting is very important in the FIBA game. If we look at our current Gilas guards, you got an Iskati Thompson, Chris Newsome & Perez, all of whom have questionable 3-pt shooting. I don't see any Asian & Oceanian team, in particular the top 8 teams in Asia-Oceania with that many guards with suspect 3pt. shooting. Halos lahat ng mga guards ng New Zealand, Lebanon, China, Japan, Korea, Jordan, Iran, etc. ay nakaka shoot sa tres. U can't leave any of them open from 3.
Our guards on the other hand would easily pass up an open 3 kasi nga walang confidence tumira from that range.
U said, we need a big man who is 2-way player. Oh how I hope FIBA would finally declare QMB as a Pinoy local player. AJ Edu & QMB are both 2-way players while Kai Sotto has been improving his defense as of late prior to his injury.
"A king may move a man, a father may claim a son, but that man can also move himself, and only then does that man truly begin his own game. Remember that howsoever you are played or by whom, your soul is in your keeping alone, even though those who presume to play you be kings or men of power, when you stand before God, you cannot say, 'But I was told by others to do thus,' or that virtue was not convenient at the time. This will not suffice." - King Baldwin IV

Whoever they do decide to add to the team, I hope they get some playing time. No point in adding more players they don't want to play anyway.

Bollick and Perez performance last 2019 while commendable but are scored during scrub time, where the opposing team are leading by 40s , so the defense are not that tight
Against lowly Hongkong and incomplete Taipei in the first window..He was simply unmasked in higher competition.Partida pa he know the system
Still good games and Taiwan has the same roster in their first time meeting with NZ with the team we beat big. Check their lineups. How about NZ first game and the whole Asian Games dies that not count
Minsan nga, sya pa leading rebounder natin at 5'11[/QUOThats what is he is good at, but leave rebounding to the bigs...Coz everytime he battle for an offensive rebound , his man is on the fastbreak already...He did well in the first window coz NZ sagged off him to double on Kai. That's the effect of the gravity in Kai... Let's face it, Skati has no confidence shooting...Nasa Gilas siya because he knows the system but that did not spare him from being shitty. if talagang tiwala si Tim kay Skati, why is GSM keep on adding PGs , like RJ , Ahanmisi , Pinto before they have Pringle and LA, if meron naman sila Savior PG ..If Timmis adding PG sa GSM why is he insisting to live and die with Skati and his 14 man .All the fans is asking is to expand the pool, let the new guys compete and let see who fits.Ano na naman if we add RJ, Heiding QMB and maybe Winston in the pool, if the original 14 man pool outplays them then stick with the Originals

Your only as good as your last game.Besides , pwede naman Skati to be with the team but not as starting PG and not playing 30-35 minutes(played 38 minutes against Taipei)
Same Taiwan lineup? Only 4 players from the original Taipei team and they don't have NP back then. These NZ team only 3 players from the first window, so we barely beat a water down NZ Team.

He can have those 10 rebound 10 assist games but if he continues to shot awful in the field, teams will continue to defend ramos and brownlee as seen earlier..
A PG in a triangle system is usually has good shooting percentage at 3. If you look in the past from flying A, jun reyes, mike cortez, barroca and if you can count simon as PG then yes include him.

Kahit hindi naman 3s but can shoot the perimeter to keep the defense guessing. We made a run earlier with Newsome slashing or hitting medium range shots
