Dont sleep on iran, I still see their mixture of size and talent that will still be contenders in asia..Especially once the asia leagues are opening their opportunities for them

Ironically enough, Gilas had the better shooting percentage from 3 at 47.6% compared to their 34.9% but they took way more attempts since their offense was geared more towards shooting 3s. It really came down to defense which was a problem even in the previous window when New Zealand shot 51% from 3.

Mhd Amini is only 19 years old and already plays at a high level.
Where exactly are our 18-22 year olds elite ballers? eh?

Which is bullshit. If you're good by 17-18, then you should already be playing in the pros.
Japan has already implemented this "pro at a young age" setup for their own players, and guess what? It led to an NBA career for Yuki Kawamura. He entered the B.League at just 18 years old—the youngest in the league’s history. Now, imagine if he had stayed in college until he was 22 or 25. He would have been stuck playing against teenagers, without being forced to level up. All of this happened because the B.League made it possible.
And let’s not forget—if Japan hadn't introduced the Asian import rule, Kai Sotto and Dwight Ramos would probably be playing for Ginebra by now.

The 22-year-old age restriction is ridiculous—you can't tell me that players like Mason and Andy aren’t still serviceable at the PBA level. Kai already broke the stereotype, proving that a Filipino turning pro at a young age is possible. It’s a good thing that our best players are no longer waiting to finish their college eligibility and are instead heading straight to the B.League or KBL when an offer comes.

Simply implement a salary cap to prevent the top teams from outspending the bottom teams.
If I was a 19 yo standout in the UAAP and want to turn pro, there’s no way signing for Terrafirma Dyip.

What are our chances against NZ without Kai? Some months ago people were talking about them like they're our whipping boys. Is it better it we still take things easy and lose big or go hard and try to see where we are without Kai?

That and get rid of the draft. It’s useless. The weakest team is simply gonna trade their best player anyways.

Kiwis shoot well beyond the arc.
They are physical and have good guards to bother our back court.
And they play at home.
