  • I really want to see Ken Tuffin in Gilas jersey para ma testingan naman if he possesses the right stuff as a 3 & D player.

I also want to see Will Navarro again in Gilas uniform but I think by February he might not be 100% as he would be coming from a long lay off to recover from an ACL injury.

This will not suffice." - King Baldwin IV

      My list would be:

      1. Kevin Quiambao
      2. Mason Amos
      3. Francis Lopez
      4. CJ Cansino
      5. Clint Escamis
      6. Evan Nelle
That's a list I would go with. Maybe add Rey Remogat and LJay Gonzales, but we already have a shit-ton of guards. Enoch Valdez is good in the NCAA, but he's a 6'2" wing without Abueva's strength, he has to learn to play point first.

Remogat's range is pretty good. He got game. But he is just 5'10 at most, with a lean frame. Would love to see Francis Lopez play more minutes as a natural small forward in the future UAAP wars. Lopez, Malonzo and maybe Navarro (if he recovers well enough) can address our weakness in the wing position. Obviously, they got decent height and length to match up with world-level small forwards, defensively at the least.

Who do U think is the better point guard between Evan Nelle & Rey Remogat?
I'm a bit turned off on Nelle's tendency to take ill advised shots which is an eyesore for a point guard. Sayang, skilled pa naman sya & he is a known good defender. I think if Nelle learns to play with some discipline & prudence in his shot selection then I see him as having a good potential to become 1 of good prospect point guards of Gilas in the near future.

Merry Christmas to everyone. Wishing everybody good health & peace of mind.

Guys like Mason, Mamuyac, Lopez, Quiambao, and maybe some of the other U18 guys last year. Tuffin and Navarro are 26, but they could use the reps. Still, they need to be good enough to win. We might need to recall Dwight.
            Sir IPC,

How about adding Jayden Harper if his indeed cleared by FIBA as per official website alongside Zain who are rumored and committed DLSU,

As for DR, personally I am not warm and fuzzy for the coming Feb. window...maybe the next cycle.

            • I guess RHJ will be disallowed by TNT management to join Jordan for February window… RHJ needs rest… Jordan might pick Dar Tucker for that window…

Wouldn’t make much of a difference I think. They’re still the overwhelming favorites to top their group.

KSA can challenge them but they have never beaten Jordan with Al-Dwairi and Tucker/RHJ.

Plus, Saudi is already qualified and may simply treat the qualifiers as tune up games.

Palestine… I’m amazed they still have a team given the situation.

For guys who are already at their peak and still getting benched, that's a different matter.

It's like looking at a HS/college team. Getting benched as a freshman/sophomore doesn't really mean the player will not excel/not improving (especially in a loaded team), but if you're a senior and still being benched, that's bad.

For guys like Tamayo, it will be good to have him play with Gilas soon to see how his trajectory is faring.
Hopefully Carl gets called up in the February window to see if he improved, at least in practice. He has shot well from 3, though. And we need fours, since the fours in the PBA aren't adequate. Japeth and Erram are retired, and Almazan, Sangalang, and Troy are north of 30 and haven't really cut it in the NT. Abueva's 35 and 6'2". Arana's 6'7", and exclusively playing the 5, and I don't know if he can defend the 4 and the perimeter in FIBA yet.

RHJ was playing non stop since last year, From he was cut by his team in KBL, To a PBA champion with TNT, Playing for Jordan both in FIBA WC plus Asian Games and come back to PBA then also playing in EASL... He has no off season break since last year... He badly needed that rest...

                      • Its looking like the PBA playoffs will play out well into the month of February so I doubt that Kume long hair will fully commit into sending an all PBA team. Heck I think their plan will be to name Jong as interim headcoach and then send a mix of pinoy imports and college players for the Feb window.

                          • The 1st window qualifiers for the 2025 FIBA Asia Cup is only about 7 weeks ago yet everything is still up in the air in so far as the composition of Gilas team for that window games is concerned. Everything is still uncertain kung sino ang ating mga players or kung sino ang magko coach sa Gilas.

What the hell are our SBP top officials are doing? Nagpapalaki yata ng kanilang mga b_yag sina Al Panlilio & Ricky Vargas!

This is incompetency at the highest level. When will these idiots start to get their acts? Kung mga 2 weeks nalang ang 1st window?
