Maybe asking more than what he deserves is the problem. In short, greed.

While we know that professional basketball is mainly about money, there's a distinction between asking the amount one deserves ( yung sakto lang) & being too greedy. I feel Mikey Williams is more of the latter.

The only person, group of people, who can say he is asking more than he deserve are the one paying. Maverick and jeron asked for something converge didnt want to pay. But another team gave them the bag. Why cant other players ask? Negotiate. If it fails, no need to get into public, just dont bother with him. But he has a right to ask. Im not sue why he shouldnt ask for money he thinks he deaerves. Ive seen, hundreds of times, people asking salary more than their skills and most of them get it. Some dont. Bball players should be given this opportunity without ridicule.

What if Mikey Moon is asking similar to what stars in SMC and half of Pinoy imports in B -league are getting? Is that not asking for what he deserves, even if it so much more than what one normally gets within the MVP group. ( why does one have to ask within what is normal for certain teams ( none SMC teams or B - league ) ?

Yeah, the February window is relatively easier with Hong Kong and Taipei as our assignment.

If they ever send an all-PBA team, my wish are the following players:

- Laput (NP)
- Carino
- Arana

- Oftana
- Malonzo
- Javi

- Rivero
- Black

I bit small. I don't know how they are going to stop Artino and Duncan Reid, though.

Hong Kong is very weak team… we can beat them even a MPBL roster… no pressure beating Hong Kong…. Taiwan is more tougher but still beatable…

Not deserve to prepare too much for two long months… Well, Taiwan is a good team but they are very beatable even w/o best players… PBA is in playoffs at that time, So tapping UAAP/NCAA plus PBA teams who will be out of playoffs before February and some handful of overseas players can do… but still don’t underestimate Taiwan… as for HK, sorry, it might arrogant but they have no chance against Gilas.. they will lose even against MPBL teams

Chiu will have his much needed experience vs Hong Kong for sure… the program needs that, who knows, this experience will make Chiu a tough player in the future…

We really need to lay a foundation for a future program, though. Hopefully, we built on the tough defense we had in the WC and Asian Games, and get an actual offense going.

With Kai returning to action in a few weeks, do you think the SBP will tap him for the FIBA ACQ?

Sir I won't be surprise if he would not be invited because it's all about huge investment but very low ROI.

Due to lingering injury(s), club/other commitment, that's the possible content of those mainstream bias media in the very near future.

And also no need for guys like AJ or Kai to play in Asian qualifiers... They are playing against low ranked teams... They might get injured there... Just give those spots to guys like Chiu for exposure against inferior opponents...

Yes Sir I agree, despite having a dismal work rate during his last(?) season at Ateneo IMHO, I think the kid's deserved some international reps his decent work rate during the last FIBA-Asia Cup alongside Carl, KQ and Francis is still fresh in my mind.

We have to take care of AJ, Kai and even Kouame... They are all injure prone players, We don't have to sacrifice themselves just to win against minnow teams... Although because we don't have NP yet, I see Kouame will take over for now, As Brownlee still suspended.... Maybe Kouame will just play vs Taiwan, But no need for him to play vs Hong Kong... Give those young players to get some experience playing FIBA tournaments and let's see who will shine among them... Maybe Amos, Lopez, KQ, Escamis, Cortez will get the shot too...

Having read this sentiment of yours for weeks now, i gotta say that this grew on me. Yeah, we don't need to win, say by 30 or more, with a very strong line-up against a minnow 'cause a win will always be a win no matter the margin, and that is what's more important during a qualifiers event.
