Japan, without their NBA players, is a 50/50 for Guam. South Korea is a question mark.
China, Gilas (with Kai and AJ), NZL, Australia and West Asians (Lebanon, Iran and Jordan) are the possible teams where Guam will probably struggle.Attack

I think our NF should concentrate more in establishing strong "domestic connection" to all our ineligibles who had a strong chance to get exempted moving forward.
aside from playing in the "domestic league" e.g. varsity, amateur and eventually going professional is one of the strong merit but I think" the final nail of the coffin" for this
is to "encourage" them to use their "rights of suffrage as a Filipino",
we all know it is literally written in our constitution these thing alongside the naturalized papers of AK34, JB and other athletes from the other discipline.
the word "political rights" are inscripted on all pertinent documents related to that.
now if the SBP people decided to submit documents of those ineligible Filipinos including AK34 for possible exemptions to the technical committee which I think was still(?)
headed by a Filipino lawyer from our NF.
providing an official photocopy that the said person(s) are participating on all local and national election as part of his/her political rights
is indeed a strong evidence that the person(s) has a "strong domestic connection" aside from playing in their respective domestic league.
The Sec Gen will surely not questioned nor further object on this

I laughed when it was Jericho Cruz who crafted their last play. Says alot about their coach.

one does not need to have connections to a country for authorities to process ones citizenship.
note one does not need to leave the US, for Qatar officials to process one's passport
Qatar is a state that imports its population , incliding athletes.

With the impending return of Trump in White House, Qatar evicted Hamas leadership the emirate hosted for several years. The Qataris positioned themselves to be in good graces from Trump. The incoming president is vehemently pro-Israel. They used to play both sides now it seems Qatar is sticking with the West thus abandoning the Axis of Resistance to which Hamas is aligned. Hence miseries to Palestinians will worsen.

China smashed Guam last time... Maybe Guam can match up against teams that smaller than them.. they can hang on vs Lebanon, Jordan, Iran, Korea and might be better than KSA, Kazakhstan.. they are on Taipei's level.. they just need to hire better coach.. they might be upset by either Thailand or Indonesia if the former will prepare long.. Jonathan Galloway and Earnest Ross are High level Asian talent players, but their bench are sucks... And you are right, Ben Borja should play here to gain more experience.. maybe a MPBL stint will do for him..
This advantage of Guam regarding physicality and size is gone against West Asians. Remember, when Guam faced China, the size and physicality of Guam were gone against China. This is a game of match-ups IMO.
The same reason I don't see Guam winning against Gilas if they play.Attack

He even said that Remy Martin is FIBA eligible becoz he applied for Philippine passport prior to his 16th birthday although such passport was issued after his 16th b-day.
The million dollar question is: Is Remy Martin really a FIBA eligible player? I mean, sure na ba tayo that he can play for Gilas as a local player?
If ganyang technicality lang pala na prior na nagapply then what's SBP been waiting for?
Even the QMB news caught them off guard cause apparently josh reyes did not know na it's the renewal and not a new account regarding the passport case of QMB.
Remy Martin would solve the combo PG issues of our team. I even heard on the shootfirst group that Boogie Ellis was eligible as well. So are we in another treat of surprise in the coming couple of months?

I think of matches. Guam has an edge over Japan since they are physical and has the size. Japan has the system but that's it. They can be easily pushed around. Once their shooting dries up, they may drop their game.

Obviously if anyone can claim they applied for a passport before 16 without verification of previous records, then all will be exempted.

A game that would draw much of my interest would be the New Zealand-Chinese Taipei game tomorrow afternoon. Chinese Taipei's roster in this 2nd window is significantly stronger than the one it had in the 1st window. Current CT team is bannered by 6-foot-2 guard sensation Mohammed Bashir Gadiaga a. k. a. "Abassi", 6-foot-3 combo guard Benson Lin & a new naturalized player who is 6-foot-11 center. Then CT got a number veteran national team players back to the team.
CT routed Hongkong a couple of days ago but we all know Hongkong is a weak team. It would be interesting how the Taiwanese match up against a strong & quality team like New Zealand.
I predict NZ to win by 14 pts. I feel NZ's size & physicality would give them a good edge over CT."A king may move a man, a father may claim a son, but that man can also move himself, and only then does that man truly begin his own game. Remember that howsoever you are played or by whom, your soul is in your keeping alone, even though those who presume to play you be kings or men of power, when you stand before God, you cannot say, 'But I was told by others to do thus,' or that virtue was not convenient at the time. This will not suffice." - King Baldwin IV
