I don't think so. Lassiter was the guy SBP was always asking for and SMC was denying. Even to the point of giving an excuse he had colds or something. That's why he was called Super Ubo. That team won bronze with Hontiveros as its main SG. As expected Hontiveros barely shot the ball in the important games. Imagine if it were Lassiter.

That's silver medal bro that Gilas won in 2015 FIBA Asia Chmpionhips. Most (if not all) of us here easily remember that Gilas team. Well, not only SMC teams which refused to lend its players. ROS didn't lend Jeff Chan & Paul Lee. Imagine if Lassiter, Chan & Paul Lee played on the team. Mabigat sana 3-pt shooting ng team.

I remember Hontiveros (who was already at the twilight of his career at that time) threw bricks in most of the games. Mangilan-ngilan lang talaga mga games noon which he shot well from long distance. Yeah, I agree with you, imagine if it was Lassiter who played in place of Hontiveros. Tapos meron ka pang Jeff Chan & Paul Lee.

Challenging Bertāns' outside shooting will be the acid test.

me thinks that we will still win silver even if we had all the right pieces (fajardo, marcio, chan, lee) given that China will most likely get favorable calls

but yeah we have a better chance of stealing that game with the above-mentioned names, 3-4 players of that team are just roster fillers (Thoss, Asi, Intal and MGR) hontiveros was still serviceable

Quinito and those effin vloggers used to pad KQ's height earlier in his career for their content hehe.

Who actually believes he's 6'8? Fuck Quinito. I've had 6'3-6'6 classmates from my time in Taft decades ago and know from walking past by them that guys like Mike Philips are 6'6 max. KQ could actually be 6'4.

Bitadze had good games in the NBA. He might be even better in Fiba. The Sandro guy I think is a bench big of the Spurs.

                          • k-quiam is about as tall as dwight ramos, maybe an inch taller at best. so if dwight's 6'4" then kquiam is 6'5" at most

Speaking of Dondon Hontiveros, we can see there the value of a two-way player - someone who is an offensive threat with a pretty decent defensive game as well. Hontiveros was struggling with his shooting in most of his games in the 2015 FIBA Asia Championship, yet he was still valuable for Gilas because he can provide decent defense at the wings. I think Lassiter is in the same mold as Hontiveros - can shoot & can play decent defense as well.

                              • Speaking of some players whose heights are padded, isn't Justin Brownlee's listed height in FIBA is 6-foot-7? Yet we know he's barely 6-foot-5.
