As long as NBA and FIBA still around, even w/o PBA audience, Basketball still the king sports here (I also watch some euroleague games)... Mr. Suzara has been to excited and too early to self declare that volleyball already surpass basketball… they don’t have any proven yet aside from players being famous, especially to younger generation… if they continue losing international competitions then the popularity will be decrease.. No one wants a loser…

Newsome is most important player out of 3… we all know Junmar will be a back up big man only for Kai and Edu, while Perez will be a back up guard for Scottie and Newsome… we hope that Scottie is 100% healthy coming OQT next month…

      • OT: it look like Spain will have their future superstar in their national team program especially next decade.. Mohamed Dabone, Born in Burkina Paso will likely pursue by Spain to be part of their national team in the future… he’s a beast even at his very young age…

CJ and Newsome should be good barring any injuries.

Junemar too as he’s only expected to be back up.

I'm with Giannis34GOD here in that Newsome is the most important (I'll add because of his defense), and I'm with both of you in that June Mar should only be expected to back up Kai and AJ.

Although, I think Newsome might be a backup himself if Cone goes with a big lineup of JB-AJ-Kai, with Dwight at SG (I think the off-guard is 50-50 with Newsome and Dwight).

This is also the "Real" test for Brownlee if he can even raise his game outside Asian competitions... Many bashed Clarkson even they didn't knew that w/o him, we can't go toe to toe against DR and Italy, JC is an impact player last year.. Can JB impact his game against tough European teams?

Cone likes tall ball and is not paricularly interested in 3 pt shooting. Dwight nor Newsome are good 3 pt shooters. A Dwight Newnew guard combo will shooting hell. Spacing will be hell. Kai is not a 3 pt shooter. AJ somewhat shoots outside but it would be peril if you rely on his shooting.

He likes defense, too. So, for this OQT (and this pool in general), we'll have to rely on our defense. JB, Dwight, Newsome, Scottie, AJ, and maybe Kai will be key. Oftana, CJ, Carl, and KQ will need to improve their defense if they want to have some use in FIBA.

He might be better than Wemby… He is already better than Wemby at age 12… Spain will surely do whatever it takes to get his services… He is already in Spain since 10 years old (as reports), Then he has a chance to be a local player when he will be reach 18 or 19, before moving to US to join NBA draft… Because they have a case for that, as they are the ones who develop his basketball career at younger age… that is one of criteria to have a non local born player to be FIBA local eligible player…

doubt it, he was reportedly listed as a 16 yr-old last year, and then 13 early this year. then in the past month videos came up claiming he's 12. he also does not have an original birth certificate.

he's still an elite prospect if he's 16-17 years old with those skills

                          • This is a huge loss. AJ's our only reliable local defender as of the moment.

Thank goodness JB's a good defender. Otherwise, we don't have anyone to partner with Kai at 4.
