I don't underestimate them. They are a level higher than the Dominican Republic in the Americas. However, I would rather have them than face another European team.

Besides, style makes fights. I believe that Tim Cone is aware of them.

Yes. We needed to beat Kazakhstan by 11 or more the in the Asian Games to advance to the quarterfinals IIRC. We were up by 7. Chot told Douthit to start shooting into our own basket to force the overtime.

I think tamayo earned his spot in the regular rotation, his defense and timely shots kept us in the game

Maybe next time Brownlee will actually pass to Tamayo (this needs multiple times to review film but i feel there is still a gap between vets and the kids). but still good for Tamayo to take it to his own hands by shooting when open plus playing his role in defense in the zone.

caboclo is like an upgraded shengelia

Still better than facing Nikola Vucevic..a bonafide nba star.. If Goga was mature enough he couldve done damage but he was everywhere in this game in a negative way.. like a Gilas 1 japeth

the reason why it's a no-no to tank games, just play whoever in front of you and try to win, the win against Latvia gave us a big boost, if we lost that game and with this short rest, the pressure will be higher for us to win this game, even if Georgia lead as much as 20 earlier in the game the pressure was still with them to maintain it, but that zone defense threw off Georgia's game plan and helped us to come back and almost win the game, win or lose in this tournament it's a good experienced for our players

This is his role now. He played good.

I saw that he was a liability last Finals on defense, and he turned it around and defended well this game, credit to him.

We could have won the game if CTC wants… but he has bigger plans… KQ is there for getting reps playing this kind of competition… although it could have change the direction of the game if he makes those freethrows
