It’s a foreshadowing.

Age, injuries, imbalanced roster. Big $$ tied to their aging stars. They went all in as they don't really have any choice as their windows are closing.

I'm a KD and LBJ fanboy but being a realistic guy it would be a big mountain to climb to reach the 2nd round.

Denver is still the team to beat for these season for as long as those 5 guys The Joker, KCP, MPJ, AG and JM are all healthy it's very difficult.

a DEN vs. MIN is still the best storyline at the West because they had Gobert and KAT to somehow contain a little bit of the Jokeman and Antman vs. Jamal is a dandy of a match-up IMHO.

nuggets vs wolves should be a good series..

It's amazing how many close games the Lakers and Nuggets have had in the past 2 years. Yet in almost all of those close games, the Nuggets come out on top.

When it's close that often, and the Lakers fail almost every time in the last few minutes, that sounds like a coaching issue.

With that said, I do think one of the biggest mistakes the Lakers have made was letting go of Dwight Howard. It was obvious to me that he would have been very useful last year. This year it's only reinforced it to me.

They don't need another star player. They just need someone who is strong and can play solid defense and grab rebounds for 15-20 minutes a game.
