mikey tho i think on his side he is not young anymore so he might as well get as much money as he wants. i wonder if he is eligible to play in BLeague as filipino import. he might go there if he is.

I believe for an Asian import to play in B.league he must be have FIBA clearance to play as local for national team he is going to represent. I think Mikey doesn’t meet that requirement thereby his option is quite limited either to stay in PBA or secure a contract with Taiwanese leagues which are more lenient with requirements for its Asian imports…

He is not eligible as an Asian quota import, but I think he is good enough to be signed by a B3 team as a World Import, Taiwan is also an option for him

i dont mind if players ask for compensation to represent the country since:

1. they’re using private funds (smc/mpic money) not taxpayers money
2. FIBA, Asiad and Olympics had long been a business enterprise with athletes not getting any share of the revenue

but, the asking price should be proportional to their talent/skill

RSA is known to be a generous person so baka akala nila nang management that they are compensated. but i think it was a good decision by chua and ctc not to include him. maganda chemistry nang team. masisira yun if andun si mikey.

Mikey though is a winner on the court which is the only thing that matters. Mikey dropped 37 in Game 6 of the Governor's Cup against Ginebra. That's Brownlee's first ever series defeat in the Governor's Cup. Williams has helped TNT win at least two chips since he joined the team. Dude is a winner.

On the contrary, it’s much easier for Vargas to throw Mikey under the bus for many reasons. One is the holdout by Mikey to get his desired paycheck on his contract extension. And most recently when TNT suspended Mikey without pay last year for not showing up in some practices and games

Mikey has been a headache for TNT off the court.

I think the other guy in the blind item might be Maverick Ahanmisi as he has been adamant on getting a huge contract in the offseason.
