But I think Al Panlilio deserves the bashing & blaming as well. In fact I want Panlilio to be held accountable for all these mess.
Absolutely. Panlilio has been making bone-headed decisions since 2018. Remember we almost didn’t send a team in the 2018 Asiad.

It’s fair to say Panlilio is just not qualified for the job.

It’s like their revenge arc after getting DQ'd last year. I doubt Jordan would have qualified in the WC if Korea was around. Jordan’s form in the second round was questionable.

Japan is sending a developmental team so I don't expect such team to be anywhere near the level of its national team-A. Iran isn't as strong as it used to be some years ago. For one, legendary center Hamed Haddadi has already retired from the national team. China is playing without Zhou Qi & naturalized player Kyle Anderson.

I say, if coach Tim Cone can mold this Gilas team into a defensive oriented one, I think we can beat any team in the Asiad.
We have better chance in winning a medal then, unless some of the less-heralded players from the NTs with downgraded rosters you mentioned play out of their minds come the tournament proper.

This upcoming Asiad basketball tournament I think is going to look like a souped-up version of this year's SEA Games. It's going to be an above-average test for the SMC-led SBP.

          Here's the SoKor lineup: https://twitter.com/YaChHy74ny/statu...VN4HjwXWw&s=19

Pretty strong lineup. Height and shooting from 1 to 4. Even 5 if we count Kim Jong-kyu and Ricardo Ratliffe.

Vloggers need to drag this kapit-tuko idi0t out of the shadows and into the limelight. Casual fans rely on vloggers and content creators for information. More than Spin.

Snow also has his own clout but I haven't seen him singling out Panlilio.

Chemistry-wise, looks like they are the most intact and most cohesive team.

Everyone in Group D is fucked. Lmao

No team in that group can challenge the Koreans.

This will need some verification. I dunno if news outlets have reported it yet. But if true, yes, they are a really strong team.

To becomes Asia's Best, we need to compete against the World's Best..
                    1 Big 4 small > 5 out offense.

It's likely we face China in our bracket if we top our group.

                          The 6'7" guy is Lee Hyun-jung. Lee Jung-hyun is a 190cm guard.

Korean names are kinda confusing, everybody sounds the same.

Oh oki. Basta yung naka shoot ng 3 points to tie, bago yung "Selemat Belangel Shot"

So its the 6-foot-3 Lee Jung-Hyun who will be playing in the Asian Games & not the 6-foot-7 Lee Hyun Jung who is South Korea's 2nd leading scorer behind Ricardo Ratliffe in the 2022 FIBA Asia Cup qualifiers?

That 6-foot-7 Lee Hyun-jung is scary. I remember how good & promising he was in 2021 when the coach Tab Baldwin-mentored Gilas team (made up of amateurs) beat Korea twice. Lee was only 20 at the time.
"A king may move a man, a father may claim a son, but that man can also move himself, and only then does that man truly begin his own game. Remember that howsoever you are played or by whom, your soul is in your keeping alone, even though those who presume to play you be kings or men of power, when you stand before God, you cannot say, 'But I was told by others to do thus,' or that virtue was not convenient at the time. This will not suffice." - King Baldwin IV

one game at a time.. its difficult to have iran as qf before korea imo..
