    • Here’s the 37-man list. 33 are pros and only 4 are college players.

I assume that list was when RHJ was not yet naturalized by Jordan.

They've got Chris Ross & Poy Erram in the 37-man list yet there was no Abueva in there.
"A king may move a man, a father may claim a son, but that man can also move himself, and only then does that man truly begin his own game. Remember that howsoever you are played or by whom, your soul is in your keeping alone, even though those who presume to play you be kings or men of power, when you stand before God, you cannot say, 'But I was told by others to do thus,' or that virtue was not convenient at the time. This will not suffice." - King Baldwin IV

            • They also wasted 1 slot in 37 man pool when they added JC i remember in 2018 NBA only give one-time exception for JC and 2 chinese NBA players because of "communication breakdown with the Chinese and Philippine basketball federations"....

                Of the professionals:

                KBL: Abando, Juan GDL, Belangel
B.League: Parks, Tamayo, Abarrientos, AJ, Thirdy
PBA: Arvin, Gray (injured), Black, Ross, Winston (draftee), Perez, Malonzo (injured), Erram, CStand, Pogoy (injured), June Mar, Oftana, Newsome, BGR (injured), Japeth, Brownlee, Marcio, Scottie
                Free agents: Heading, Kouame

Cupboard isn't that bare when healthy. We can still form a strong team with the guys here. Still, Abueva, Terrence, and Perkins should have been included.

Onyeka okungwu was part of the 60man list. Didnt even know we were looking at naturalising him.

                  • What a waste, in fairness to Abueva, I am pushing more for Perks and BGR because of the opportunity to gather more credits for future exemption..sorry I haven't seen the list yet but is it true that TR and MT was also not included in the name list?

That's the performance of a Corporate Guy(s) moonlighting as a sportsman as well.

Erram and C-Stand have retired from international competition. Since Chua and SMC are now handling the formation of Gilas, maybe they could convince C-Stand to come out of retirement and play one last time. Because we really lack size.

at this rate, might as well look for blatche and enlist him, if only he didnt let himself go, the trio of Brownlee, Blatche and Ange is beyond Mighty Sports level

edit: oops he's not on the new list pala, lol SBP is so effed up

OK, regardless of the inclusion of the overseas and collegiate players, I think the listmaker mostly got the list right. Mostly, because of the non-inclusion of Abueva, Terrence, and Perkins.

The problem was, if I read correctly, only the roster named for the Asiad was called to practice. There should have been a practice pool among the PBA players. That's partly on Cone, partly on SBP.

                            • please for the love of God and basketball.. can we move on and please have a president of our federation who truly loves both the country and basketball.. I don't think Al Panlilio is a basketball man - more of a corporate slave...

we love so dearly our basketball.. have someone handle it with care..

for all the wrongdoings that he has done, right now I think a Noli Eala would be ok..

                                60-man list submitted on March
37-man revised list submitted on July

I think this should be on Cone. Because he knows there’s a list and tried to get players not on the list. Understandable naman like any other coach, Cone wants players who fits his system.

Revising the list for a second time is a long shot and close to improbable.

At least Chua now feels how to be rejected when appealing to include certain players on the national team. Lol! Haha
