  • Pull out, put all the blame on OCA. LOL

SMC group knows how to play their cards. They know how to get the sympathy of the fans.

Them announcing the 12-man roster despite no approval is the 1st step to damage control. This is the 2nd step.

Who knows, maybe I'm wrong.... LOL

            • Pogoy also out of the lineup, Gilas will have a press conference toray at 1 pm.

Tim Cone, appointed Gilas coach for the Asiad, and the PBA board are set to hold a news conference and expected to make announcements on team at 1 p.m. on Tuesday.

Pogoy fell ill while resting in Cebu after suiting up for Gilas in the recent Fiba World Cup.

While he religiously attended practices since interim coach Tim Cone took over, he hasn't joined the team in scrimmages pending go signal from doctors.

Pogoy is likewise with Gilas in its training camp at the Inspire Sports Academy in Laguna.

But his health condition further compounded the shaky situation for Gilas which faces manpower woes less than a week before it departs for China.

I doubt MVP will withhold its players since some of his goons are still in charge (Choke as program director and Panlilio as SBP prez). Choke is the guy at fault here for putting out a list compromised mostly of unavailable players. There might be a chance that some schools would be willing to lend one of their players for the AG but I doubt Cone has any interests in coaching college players.

BREAKING NEWS: Gilas Pilipinas will not back out of the upcoming Asian Games despite manpower issues, multiple sources just told me. The Samahang Basketbol Ng Pilipinas (SBP) will be fielding replacement players to complete a Final 12 roster. An official announcement is set at 1 pm, a few moments from now .

                      • So probably we are looking at 4 to 5 new players to be rushed in as replacements. My best guess is most of these players are from the MVP pool guys like Kevin Alas, Don Trollano, Aaron Black, Cliff Hodge, Justin Chua or even a Troy Rosario.

                        • U have half of the 60-man pool coming from the collegiate ranks yet U know that the college tournaments UAAP & NCAA being scheduled in close proximity to the Asian Games. Don't these dumb SBP officials realize that these college players most likely won't be available for the Asian Games? So why include so many college players in the list?

Al Panlilio & some people at SBP work like they are still in their On-the-Job Training (OJT). The longer they stay at SBP the more it is detrimental to Philippine basketball.

Remember that howsoever you are played or by whom, your soul is in your keeping alone, even though those who presume to play you be kings or men of power, when you stand before God, you cannot say, 'But I was told by others to do thus,' or that virtue was not convenient at the time. This will not suffice." - King Baldwin IV

We might see Cstand unretiring from national team duties, if he is in the 60 man list

I would love to see Standhardinger at AG, his physicality and rebounding will surely be an asset. But I have doubts that Choke included him in that dumb list he made.
