If PBA/SMC-led Gilas medals in this Asian Games, that will be great ofcourse because I'm a Filipino. This team should play at least 3 games as a complete team before they fly out to china..
my suggestion is for SBP to organize tune-up games against Ateneo, La Salle and UP.. these UAAP teams are already complete and raring to go as the UAAP season would start also almost the same time as the Asian Games.. UAAP teams are fast-paced teams with enough talent, and they follow FIBA rules..
my worry is not about Tim Cone coaching these players, because he know very much the capabilities of these players, having coached them before OR going up against them multiple times watching film.. what worries me are the players playing with each other.. so this is a perfect training ground to play as a team..
this would be "ideal" considering the time constraints..Comment

Yup, there's a built in chemistry among the players of the Asiad roster since almost all of them (except Arvin Tolentino) are part of the Gilas World Cup pool. Guys like Brownlee, Newsome, CJ Perez & Oftana were part of the 2023 SEA Games roster aside from being part of the World Cup pool, hence familiarity with one another won't be a problem. The only challenge wud be on how the players adapt & assimilate with coach Tim's system.
