    Asian basketball today is more competitive than 20 years ago… Iran is not powerhouse team back then, same with Jordan… it’s only China, Korea, Philippines, Japan and Kazakhstan back then… now even Saudi are competitive right now… Lebanon historically not always joining Asian games… they not prioritize this event unlike with fiba sanctioned events…

    • Oftana the perfect example of how you can develop perimeter players while still needing him to play the 4/5 when you have an undersized team (in college or whatever)

        Playing 3 straight games in 3 days is not easy but i'm confident we can beat china.

        wait is the game tommow or next day? AIScore sched is tommorow oct 4...
        But remember we are playing China in China, where some shenigans happens… homecooking, undisciplined crowd, unfair advantage even in committee and even in warm ups, they will distract us… and China is on revenge mode against Gilas… they still not remember that JC’s 3rd quarter storm against them in last WC that give all of Chinese fans cry, even their commentator…

        • The four factors why Gilas lost their 20-point lead:

          a. Turnovers (too many bone-headed plays and lazy passes that Iranians easily intercepted);

          b. Offensive rebounding (our players lost the sense of urgency in grabbing offensive boards);

          c. Technical fouls (our players complained alot about the missed calls. They should bear in mind that this is not the PBA, where the referees are more tolerant to them);

          d. Perimeter defense (our players are not aggressive against the offensive player. Tamang taas ng kamay (just raised their hands without pressure), ok na).
          Attack
          defend
          Unite

            Fatigue is the main one because they were blowing by easily

              Credit to Japan for improving their player development and basketball program then. Both can be true. SoKor's on the decline (for how long, we probably can't say yet), and Japan have improved.

              • just like in china game in world cup we dominated in 3rd but homecourt advantage took the life out of China.
                To becomes Asia's Best, we need to compete against the World's Best..
                1 Big 4 small > 5 out offense.

                  I think Iran's on a bit of a decline but not as bad as Sokor's

                    better pump the breaks on that statement, just because they've been quiet as of late doesn't mean they're still not good

                        Tim is just as ineffective as Choke. They both should never come back.

                        • Korea is still good, the problem is their basketball officials kumbaga nasa BAP era sila ngayon lol... but they have up and coming talented young guys.and replace ra guna with younger naturalized player they're fine.

                            They are still good, but not that high percentage from 3 point anymore. The korean experts acknowledge this that the last great shooters were lee sang min and moon

                              luckily CTC is still in the honeymoon phase, plus BGSM fans are defending him online
