Yeah. I think this was a misstep on Gold's part. This was the post-Balti UAAP juniors. Carl bulked-up and along with Encho Serrano dominated the UAAP juniors. But he got his first major injury after. I haven't seen Carl builked up or even shredded since then. This is a point against adding major muscles at a young age. Raven also gained major muscles in HS and tore his ACL. Raven has not been as mobile since. I think La Salle was training Raven to be their mini Giannis at that point. But it might be the physicality in our games compared to the US. His ACL gave way.

Ryukyu are in the B.League finals.

I guess they qualify again for the EASL.

These are the Filipino players that will surely return next season.

Those that have strong chance to be re-signed:

          Jordan Heading - Nagasaki Velca
          Thirdy Ravena - San-en Neophoenix
Bobby Ray Parks - Nagoya Diamond Dolphins
          Dwight Ramos - Levanga Hokkaido

Ryukyu have won the B.League championship, winning 2 games in Chiba.

Congrats to Carl on his first pro championship. Hope he gets the PT and good numbers next season, and has a chance to compete for a Gilas WC spot. After AJ, Malonzo, Dwight, and maybe Japeth, Carl's probably our most talented guy at 4 as of the moment, and has performed well in FIBA.

And Carl is still young & very much at the developent stage in his career. He just needs the playing time in his B-league team.
"A king may move a man, a father may claim a son, but that man can also move himself, and only then does that man truly begin his own game. Remember that howsoever you are played or by whom, your soul is in your keeping alone, even though those who presume to play you be kings or men of power, when you stand before God, you cannot say, 'But I was told by others to do thus,' or that virtue was not convenient at the time. This will not suffice." - King Baldwin IV

i see Carl Tamayo, Will Navarro and Rhenz Abando having storied careers overseas. They have franchise player potential.

Yeah, he's only 22 and coming off his first season. Hopefully he gets a break and gets to produce next season.

Well, Josh Duncan has left Ryukyu: https://goldenkings.jp/news/detail/id=18424

That opens up opportunities for Carl at 4 and Hugh Watanabe at 5, if Ryukyu opt to sign a wing import rather than a big, since they have Allen Durham, Jack Cooley, Hugh Watanabe, and Carl in the roster.

KBL is i think a much better destination than Bleague , most of the filipino imports that played last season were able to have good exposure maybe except for Belangel, but i hope others will have the chance to play in leagues outside asia, turkey might be a good destination
