AJ Edu played for Nagasaki Velca last weekend. Good to know he's OK. I think he just needed some rest that's why he didn't play for Gilas in the 2nd window."A king may move a man, a father may claim a son, but that man can also move himself, and only then does that man truly begin his own game. Remember that howsoever you are played or by whom, your soul is in your keeping alone, even though those who presume to play you be kings or men of power, when you stand before God, you cannot say, 'But I was told by others to do thus,' or that virtue was not convenient at the time. This will not suffice." - King Baldwin IV

What is the status of James Spencer in Japan B3.league is he a “world import” or an “Asian quota player” ? My understanding to be considered as “Asian quota player” he must at least played at least 1 game in senior NT at FIBA sanctioned tournament. I don’t recall Spencer has had played for Gilas.

Well, there are still nine of them (3 in division 2). However, other teams opted to sign players from China, Taiwan, Korea and Thailand. Not to mention, the league now opens its doors to the West Asians.
2nd Div. : Adams; Chiu
3rd Div. : Spencer
In addition Matthew Aquino (Div I) is considered local as he has permanent resident status due to his mother being a Japanese. Those players above has work permits. Fil-Am Kihei Clark plays in Div. II whereas world import Eugene Phelps who lives in Manila during off-seasons plays in Div. II.
