IRC the Asian quota will be opened to other Asian nationalities? Maybe these teams are checking if there are better cheaper options out there. Note that Dwight was extended. That gives you a clue what his team thinks of his skill level. We know that too being that he is a key player even in the SMC led national team.Attack

I don't think that Wright, Kiefer and Thirdy are not that great as imports in the B.League. Their stats and impact say it all.

I'm not saying their bad. But with other Asians included in the quota, there might be good players out there. Secondly, these guys are good but there are reasons why they are not in the national team now. They might be playing well now, but who knows if there are better choices out there. We will see once the signings start.
If we are referring to other ASEAN and East Asian countries, unless that player is Tyler Lamb or Freddie Lish, I believe that they will fare worse than a Filipino player.Attack

Well, if those players are from West Asia (Freddie Ibrahim, Yousef Khayat, Behnam Yakchali, Wael Arakji, Sani Sakakini, etc.), I think that they can displace some Filipino players by length alone and heft alone.

But those teams will likely find better reinforcement.. They will be the last option... Don't be surprise if they will tap NP for their spots, for the betterment of their national team.. And also i feel that there is something behind the scenes going on w/ this multiple Pinoys become FA... Remember what SBP tell to PBA that they will help to address their viewership problems, I think this is one of the hidden moves by SBP... Maybe a "Hidden meeting" between SBP, B League and JBA to tell Japanese clubs not to re-sign most of Pinoy ballers there... Because if those teams are interested for once, they will re-sign them quickly... Why Ramos get his contract extension quickly?
I don't buy with maybes. Sorry.Attack

And what i know, Asian quota and Naturalized quota are same category in the league... so they might pick Naturalized players than Asians because it will benefit more to their national team program... Hiroshima for example, They tapped Naturalized player to replace Kai Sotto on that spot...
I hope DMX (with athletic gift) can play well in that league and not bench because there are world imports that he is sharing with the playing time.
Lastly, considering the number of teams in the league, not every team can avail a naturalized player. Asian imports fill that gap.Attack
