The inevitable has happened between Kagawa and Roosevelt Adams. The Five Arrows announced on Monday that they will put the 6-foot-5 winger in the free agent portal after his contract expires on May 31. Adams, the 28-year-old top overall pick in the 2019 PBA Rookie Draft, averaged 9.2 points and 5.3 rebounds in 36 games […]
His numbers were decent in B2, though.

Advice to those current PBA players who wish to spread their wings in Japan, please don’t burned your bridges because you never know you’ll be knocking their doors in a short span of time… Adams was cut recently and I won’t be surprise if he hear Slaughter would be waived. And chances are they will have difficulty of finding a willing team to sign them.Last edited by FilWelsh; 05-07-2023, 04:40 PM.

Carl Tamayo scored 11 points on 4-12 shooting (2-4 from 3), and got 3 rebounds (1 offensive) yesterday.
Not exactly a dream regular season for him, averaging only 2.7 points on 25.9% shooting (25.9% from 3), 1.3 rebounds, 0.3 assists, 0.1 blocks, and 0.3 steals in 15 games (4 starts). Still, I'd cut him some slack, as he joined midseason, and he's on the first year of a 3-year contract. Plus, at least he plays. Hope he improves in the playoffs or the next season, and hope he's in consideration for the WC.
Here's his stat profile:

Once you're in the PBA, it's not that easy to go abroad, especially with the big teams that offer good pay and good treatment.

minsan tlaga, expectation is not real. i understand we want our countrymen to do good, but lets face it. they need to adjust to another team system, how another league is ran, how referees of those leagues blow their whistle. that is not uncommon. i get that we criticize to help see where improvements can be made. but sometimes, we forget that players are humans and they need time to adjust. time to think how they should do things, and think what their role is.

Yeah, that's why I'm not that worried about him despite the poor numbers, and happy that he gets the reps, and that he has a 3-year contract. He has a lot of leeway to make mistakes in non-bearing games. That's one way he can learn and better adjust to his role. I'm just hoping he has a long overseas career, and goes back only when he's past it. Maybe when he's around 32-34?WE DON'T COUNT YEARS, WE COUNT CENTURIES
