I think the plan of UAE for Quiambao is like they will convince him to reside in UAE for couple of years (residency for atleast minimum of 5 years), play for their ball club in UAE, play in 3x3, since eligibility in 3x3 is more relax than 5x5 and possible Dubai team stint to UAE, then if requirements given by FIBA were completely successful, they will lobby for his exemption as local player (plus some cash to easily convince to approve the case)…

It’s a good topic for discussion.
I’ve read several article before that the ultimate goal of the B. League is to rival the NBA and become the second largest basketball league moving forward.
At that time I haven’t pay too much attention on it not because I’m under estimating B. League Chairman Shinji Shimada’s statement about his grand plan and vision of the league starting on 2026 season wherein they will introduce the very first B. League draft and totally(?) remove that Asian Quota they are implementing right now.
I’ve chance upon this video
Japan’s B. League plans on the propose 2026 Draft.

This is the start of the PBA's death very slowly if they don't adapt soon enough at this point forward.
