well they are playing in sneakers anyway, plus these days some of those basketball shoes do add 1.5-2 inches (what with all the cushioning and max foam technology)

what's important is that you at least play as of your listed height, nothing sours more than say a 7 footer playing like he's 6'6 on boxouts and rebounding

even if kai was really 7'4 or even 7'6 what matters is how he has performed these past 3 years as a pro, which in all honesty is so underwhelming

if kai was not only producing but was impacting the games and showing improvement believe you me every media person and influencer will pad his height

        • Two of the country’s premier big men are headed down different paths in the B.League. AJ Edu will be sidelined for a while with Toyama, while Kai Sotto will be on loan from Hiroshima to Yokohama. Edu, the 6-foot-10 Fil-Nigerian, suffered a torn meniscus, as announced by the Grouses earlier this month.

The 23-year-old product of the University of Toledo sustained the injury on November 12 during the Grouses’ game against the Utsunomiya Brex.

Edu has already undergone surgery and will be out for at least three months.

is that a good thing that he boxes out like a 6'6 with motor? Thats dennis rodman and michael jordan (you can say ben wallace is a 6'6 without the fro).. its bad the youre 7 foot trying to box out like a 7 footer ej feihl or kai sotto hehe
To becomes Asia's Best, we need to compete against the World's Best..

most pinoy imports have regressed or stagnated in the b-league, thirdy has been an exception, improving every year he played

Both Ravena bros are playing in their high level and let's not forget "Papa Dwight",the bigs stagnated since, most of their time were eaten by the World Imports.

That is becoming more of a problem. we are sending out these big men and forwards out to improve their game yet they only see sparse amount of minutes.

Well to be fair Edu is injured, Kai being usual Kai again and Aquino well I don't expect much from him. It's only Tamayo who might be unfairly getting minuscule minutes.

KBL is a much better league if you are a bigman due to their import playing rules (only one world import can play at a time).

Edu is the only exemption among our bigmen because he can play like a world import.

The money is probably big. But I would like to see one of our bigs go to KBL. Most of our guards and foreign grown SFs are getting good PT there and are improving as a result. It remains to be seen if our PFs also get PT. It’s worth a try. But the money is proabably too big for the likes of Tamayo for him to refuse B league.

They still improve, only in practice tho,I'm sure they practiced hard specially if one of the World Import goes down. The only upsides are the bigs are not worn down or injured when called up.

                              • I will say putting up numbers does not mean they are improving or stagnating either, Thirdy has been playing well in the bleague for a while but hasn’t necessarily translated for Gilas, guys like Ramos haven’t been putting up big numbers but been playing well, Abando in KBL has been decent but doesn’t really translate to Gilas either.
