    • let's see if the coach still benches RJ. this was the first game where he played more minutes than the starting PG. RJ's been clearly their team's best PG since day 1

It seems RJ Abarrientos is getting better in Japan as time goes by.
"A king may move a man, a father may claim a son, but that man can also move himself, and only then does that man truly begin his own game. Remember that howsoever you are played or by whom, your soul is in your keeping alone, even though those who presume to play you be kings or men of power, when you stand before God, you cannot say, 'But I was told by others to do thus,' or that virtue was not convenient at the time. This will not suffice." - King Baldwin IV

                • Why did Carl Tamayo played for only 2 mins?

RJ's team shinsu only has 1 decent world import, the one who plays wing. the other 2 who are bigs are both too slow and bad rebounders, imagine having 2 6'9" kai sotto on your team. rj's world import teammates from the kbl were much better

Players in the mould of CT and Baltazar or whoever is dreaming of playing abroad that has characteristics of being too small to play the 4 or too slow and unskilled to play the wing will always be playing behind world-class NCAA/EURO/NBL type imports. If KQ & Lopez wants to be successful abroad, they need to be able to transition their game from what they're used to in UAAP.

He was succesful with his minutes before, now that the injured World import is back he's relegated to garbage minutes for now.He has the size and skill and he was doing just fine,he needs more reps and he will take it up another notch. He might have to switch to KBL lower pay and a shorter league with 1 import at a time, but he will shine and possibly dominate the smaller Koreans in that combo forward position.

That Shinsu team doesn’t have shot creators at all, that’s why RJ plays on the wing and gets the green light on catch-and-shoot and when the defense is behind. It looks bad when being covered by a wing, but he doesn’t get to create plays either. Buti nalang RJ’s minutes are consistent as long as he can hit threes over wing players.

You mean he plays alongside a local PG? Doesn't sound ideal to me for his Gilas development. But hey if he wants to be a Steph-like PG, that' s not bad at all.

                            • thats the problem with B League I feel, they will always prioritize development of their locals, our players are just there to help them and play a secondary role

B.league teams love to do 3 guard lineup for them to do 4 out offense. Or open up the lane for import do iso or PnR.
