  • Ex Commissioner Noli Eala on the current state of the PBA

I?ve always believed that the greater challenge to the

is not so much to fill up a 54K stadium in a Finals game 7 featuring Ginebra. But more so to consistently fill up a smaller venue in an elims game without the popular teams in the league.
In agree with his statements. If not for some issues outside the court he could have been the greatest PBA Commissioner.

I also agree with his statements. Noli Eala remains one of the greatest, if not the greatest, PBA Commissioners of all time.

He is an innovator, and truly one of the most courageous personalities the PHL sport has ever known who went against the grain.

There’s no doubt Com. Noli’s dedication towards the uplifting of Philippine sports are very inspiring and one of the best thing he’s done as a commissioner during his 4 month stay at PSC was the approval of Php 2 billion ++ budget for this year which I think would really provide the needed morale boost for our SEA Games, FIBA World, FIFA World, Asian Games bound athletes plus other important tournaments as far as OQT for Paris 2024, then budget for the on-going construction of some world-class training facilities for our athleltes as per NAS(National Academy of Sports) Law approved by the PDU30 admin. But comparing him to the ever bombastic Chino Trinidad who doesn’t mind loosing his job and friends inside the broadcasting industry just to make sure he voice out all his expression towards certain issues affecting Philippine Sports as a whole, Com. Noli are sometimes a little bit hesitant to voice out his direct opinion because he doesn’t want to create some friction amongst his broadcasting buddies pertaining issues on the ineptness of SBP to uplift the quality of Philippine basketball on a FIBA level especially on a grassroot level. Com. Noli has its own shortcomings just like everybody else and we have to respect that.

Much like Snow, Eala and the PBA have issues. Doesn't mean their opinions are invalid but rather its something to keep it mind.
