  • Well the measurement of hard work, is rate of improvement and learning curve

Honestly tell me in these 4 years

    1 2020
    2. 2021
    3 2022
    4 2023

Rank when years when he was the highest as an NBA prospect , just look at mocks and feedback as a NBA potential FA sigup after going undrafted, and can anyone argue that Kai's chances for the NBA are going south, declining

This is his rating years lowest to highest

    1 2023
    2 2022
    3 2021
    4 2020

those who make it to the NBA after finishing high school shoidl be increasing their draft stock not declining. An obvious illustration that Kai cant keep the rate improvement required to be one of the few in thousands to make the NBA, grit. Is really the determinent of success.

    • Read the process of how a next star is selected and you will clearly see that Kai was not considered as a next star player (serious NBA prospect ) back in 2021 and again in 2022.

If people only took time to understand both the draft combine and next star process of how a player is.invited ., you will see clearly Kai was not considered a serious draft prospect both in 2021 and 2022. , so far and contrary to what many tried to portray.

The good news, according to Ronzone, is Sotto already has several bases covered in terms of being an NBA-caliber talent.

“Skill-wise, he’s got it. You can’t teach height. You can’t teach his ability to score, shoot the 3-ball. Most bigs can’t shoot the 3-ball, Kai can shoot the 3-ball,” the veteran agent elaborated.

Put it in any type of level - as long as its Basketball - We all can agree Kai is a Hooper.....
Yes he'll need to improve his motor - but he pretty seems "Natural" he Ambidextrous to further lament his feel for the game.

        • That's what we thought, that his level of skill (shooting ) , handles for a 7 footer were at a very high level, I admit they are probably better than the average 7 footer, but his shooting and handles are not top tier for available FA .

Then when fsctor the lack of motor and strength and laterals, his overall value as a prospect is not of a level to be signed as a FA , given the alternative FA and new drsft entrants

Now that's the full complete story, not singling one aspect like , look he is 7'3 and he can shoot 3s , thst a severely limited view.,stuff pang highlight hype

To illustrate look at 7'1 Lively versatility making 14 straight 3 pointers and how he moves his feet , so while Kai looks skilled , when compared to others you realize he's not up to par.

            • There's no need to quote Kai's handlers. Just like the NBA Draft, we will soon find out if he has what it takes to make an impact in the summer league.

Can't wait for the fanatics to be hit with some sense of REALITY once AGAIN. That feeling they felt during the draft? Say hello to Part 2!

              • I don't see any possibility that he will be drafted.

His numbers in B-League say so. Numbers don't lie.

Problem with our prospects is they get hyped too much, get paid too much. They become lazy.

I don't even see any fire in Sotto's game. In terms of aggressiveness mas aggressive pa nga si Kobe and Japeth sa kanya.

It's sad what has happened to Kobe. He used to play with fire and aggressiveness like he has something to prove. Remember when he used to trash talk a lot and is always looking for the highlight play? Heck I used to think he's too reckless and just drives without really having any plan. Maybe it's the effect of not playing much that he was that "gigil". Then he stopped caring, gained weight and just settled on throwing long distance shots. Maybe he realized his NBA dream was over..

Curious question... What each and everyone (kainatics, anti-kainatics, fact-checkers, truthtellers, hypeboys, anyone) gonna do if Kai gets an NBA Contract?
(two-way, unguaranteed, rookie minimum contract, any type of "NBA Contract", even 10 day contract counts... right?)

I for one will be rejoicing ! And this is what you really don't get , we actually are all supporters of Kai, in fact I can even say I've done more tangible things to help Kai than anyone here. (IBN).
What we hate at least I do is the hype and misinformation. It doesn't do Kai any favors but hurts him...
it really is no shame to report on information accurately including the low odds of Kai making the NBA and for him to beat the odds, Kudos to Kai if he does this. , I'll be the happiest person if it happens , and will have zero regrets for just telling the true real situation of his unlikely odds .
this is what critical thinking is all about.

Good for you, ako kasi na-ilang talaga sa mga isip-squatter. The difference between passionate support and vicarious behavior isn't a fine line, it's clear as day and night. Kai Sotto is living a lot of Filipino boys' dreams getting paid to play a child's game because they probably won't get paid well or don't get paid doing what they love... but when people equate his success to their own false sense of pride, ito talaga magpapakamatay kung hindi siya sumikat. We all want him to make the NBA even for a game, but I just personally loathe the bs and cringeworthy comments. It's not bashing Kai when you know the vicarious fans could be the reason why he fails their expectations instead of just supporting him whether or not he makes it to the NBA.

We can't compare that... NBA scouts are not using international stats as their basis... They are basing on potential long term... If we based on your opinion, We can bring best players from every league then trying it out to the NBA... If NBA scouts sees potential on that player, They will try to pick him and develop as long as they can... That's why it's up to Kai right now if he can impress scouts in his summer league stint... I think this is his last chance to prove that he belongs there.. If he fails then i don't think he will get another chance.. Unless he improves later in his career or being a late bloomer type of player...

What NBA teams think of Kai's upside potential has already been answered. Verified by
                              1. A Vote by all 30 teams of 100 best draft prospects to be invited for combine assessment ( he was not in list)
2.It's 11 months now that Kai is a FA right after the draft , evey single team has every opportunity to sign him to any sort of contract, ( 10 day) of even 1 month preseason practice player (but zero, nada , nothing) , do note those yet to enter draft this is not allowed , but Kai is a FA , but wala pa. Nothing..

do not forget this is Kai's 3rd year for teams to contract him for potential, yes the 1st year was 2021 with Ignite. His 2 year window to be signed for potential is up, finish.

Kai didn't participate last year's summer league, Right? So scouts didn't see what he can do... Actually he did a wrong move to not participate last year's summer league.. And going to the NBA is not fast pace, it's a sprint... Many NBA players that also undrafted but still not give up and waiting for their time... Check at most of Miami Heat's players, almost all of them are undrafted, But they work hard to reach their dreams... Even Iran's Hamed Haddadi, he joined NBA draft in 2004 but only get his chance in 2008.. This is what i disagree with you... You didn't trust a process, Blaming his weaknesses and pointing that he's not an NBA material... Kai will not a NBA material if he will surrender, just like some players who failed and accept the reality... But Kai isn't... Kai's potential is not finished yet... We will not know when we will say Kai is already done in his dreams... Only Kai can answer that... As for now, Kai is working hard again in his dream and you should appreciate it... I think even Kai knows what he will do for his upcoming summer league stint... I hope he see an opportunity, even a 2 way contract option, He should accept it... That's how Duncan Robinson, Max Strus, Gabe Vincent and most of Miami players did in their early years... They didn't give up, even says they can't make it too far, They ignore it.... And look at them now? So don't underestimate Kai's chances...
