right now at his current level, his best bet would be to go back to B League, improve and redeem himself.. Maybe Taiwan and KBL are realistically possible as well

no chance for him to be resigned by the nbl ba? man i hope he ends up with the CBA , but given his so-so performance in the bleague, hmmm hope bleague will still be a option

        • Surprisingly this guy has developed better foot speed and runs the court better. (For.some context on levels)

He can naman (NBL), but won't be paid what his handler is asking and they can't give him the PT he's expecting

the 36ers were hoping the 2 years would develop Kai to a marquee player level by the 3rd year commensurate to his 3rd year team option pay amount , unfortunately he didn't develop as hoped

The 3rd year Purdue center is the same age as Sotto. He had a fantastic season this year.

              • some people here are really thick faced, arrogant and condescending - even if all they said have been proven wrong already

There will be no "toxicity" and conflict here if there weren't any obsessed fanboy who moonlit as Madam Auring.

If the critics are quiet when he "rose the ranks", the fanboys were also quiet and lost their balls when he was not drafted, when he got bullied by NBA rejects in Australia and Japan. You are also quiet despite how his MALAMYA effort on the court reminded everyone of Kobe Paras.

Quits lang diba? Pot calling the kettle black. May balls ka pang nalalaman. LOL

Besides, people don't question his improvement. He will no doubt eventually be an awesome MVP caliber player in the PBA.
when did kai "rose the ranks"? i think the lull was simply because many are really fed up with all the unwarranted hype and being let down by kai over and over again. like i said, i expected the bleague to be his coming out party and yet same old issues and bad results.

Yep, a few years ago, since pre-pandemic actually. Starting during the pandemic, some posters here (obvious who they are) were saying he's clearly better than Chet Holmgren and that he's on Wemby's trajectory. It's why I never participate in Kai Sotto discourse anymore, so many Filipinos are deluded.

                      He already accomplished a lot.

First Homegrown Filipino to play for G league Ignite and NBL Australia are already great feats.
(I wont call him a disappointment whether he makes the nba or not, though I am supporting for him to do so)

Anyway, I hope he performs well in Summerleague and Gilas.

Hello again Inter. Be right back maybe when SL and WC starts.

                      NBA Official 2022-2023 Preseason GameSS

Those 2 games against the SUNS and OKC are still official preseason NBA games, through these we're able to actually see and confirmed the ff:

                      1. Kai's legit NBA size and length (same or longer as those of Aytons, Bazleys, Pokus, Landales, Williams)
                      2. Kai's movement and presence (defended Ayton, fouled by CP3, hustled towards sideline and shot clean free-throws and 3-pointers over them Giddeys and Bookers)

                      *tagging Matt Ishbia @phoenixsuns

                          Youth sports culture.

This guy may have played basketball late, but he started playing other sports at a very young age. He started playing ice hockey at a very young age, very good for coordination, balance and leg strength. And also was a baseball prospect, which is good for reflexes, hand-eye coordination and focus.

I think it's just one guy who kept bashing other players of similar age and built. From Todd, Poku, Mobley, Porzingis, Bolbol, Chet, Wiseman, Banchero etc and even slandered some HOFers saying he's more skilled than them. I think most people here have a realistic view of Kai's chances of playing in the NBA except for that guy.

While your statement may be true right now, at one point that one guy had people agreeing with him to varying extents. Made it hard to talk about the guy objectively, and I've been rooting for him ever since, too.

I think Kai might go to G-League thru NBA G-League draft to continue his dream there... That's the good option for him as of now.... There is no turning back for now for him...
