Could be true, according to Tattoo Sports who is a very reliable source of info. Hiroshima Dragonflies for two months, but just to keep Kai busy.
Never look too far ahead. You might stumble on a block right in front of you.

Verified it for myself personally and now Tattoo is saying the same thing. Looks like Kai is truly going to Japan.

I'm fine with it if it's to keep himself busy for the next 2 months or so. My only worry is that it's the same team that sat Balti.

I guess kai?s handlers (ewp) wants the big moolah with 20-30min agreed playing time in Bleague.
I guess nbl1 is a recommended one to improve all his red flag but there?s no big money in the league.

ii guess it’s close to formality now

Kai Sotto is moving on from Adelaide. The 36ers announced that the 7-foot-3 Filipino big man has “agreed to an overseas” offer. Accoring to multiple sources close monitoring the situation, the 20-year-old Sotto is headed to Hiroshima — one of the top team’s in the B.League. Sotto only signed a deal for the remainder of […]

The journey continues. It is not only about the destination but the grind and the experience in Kai's journey.

He should have flown to Puerto Rico if he wants to get used to the physicality and athleticism of his opponents.

though the level of competition is lower than the nbl, at least he’ll get reps. cant blame EWP since they’re just trying to recoup their huge investment on Kai,

i think the PBA pays better than most latin american leagues (as discussed here at ibn), thats a huge financial risk for ewp

This is a good move for Kai, specially if the guaranteed minutes part is true. Although the competition in B league is inferior, they have good imports. I think Kai's PNR defense will be challenged.

It doesn't matter to downplayers and haters. Even in the NBL when we see Kai successfully defend the PNR, they'll act like it didn't happen and quote Gaze whenever Kai screws up the assignment another time. It's a no-win situation, and I'm already anticipating the fact that because it's not NBL1, that his time in the B League will not be helpful to his NBA journey.
