PeeZones is a fallacy factory. Never ending comparisons betweens apples and oranges.

The more examples and names he gives, the more he proves how delusional he has become with his Kai obsession. He cant even refute not watching Kai's games.

People just don’t know when their point of view is defeated. It’s like a nugget that keeps hanging on the edge of a toilet bowl waiting to be flushed down.

Who said anything about wishing him to fail?

I have NO DOUBT that Kai will eventually be the MOST SUCCESSFUL and highest paid basketball player in the...

Look at the bright side, you can ejaculate while watching him play at courtside.

2.) Stop being commercialized even at youth / college / HS level , If he's good talent, bring him / her to the highest level of competition (Just look at no.1)

3.) UAAP / NCAA should be emerge to be just a truly one collegiate tournament (Ala US NCAA style)

4.) Focus on grassroots, Most of Pinoys mocking Indonesian basketball, But they have a real youth program there unlike in PHL, The Indonesia Patriots playing in their PRO league consist of 17 - 23 year old playing against Grown men and professional imports

5.) Connection to no.4, SBP should create youth team program that will participate in the PBA, So that those young guns will expose against grown men professional imports

6.) Involve many FIBA youth tournaments, Bring the best prospects to play in FIBA competitions...

Your assumption is only just a fantasy dream... Legends are made not just born... MJ failed so many times but he push himself to be great... Even LBJ, Steph and any NBA superstars today... They are in the NBA because of hardwork and not just being born or hype....
            Easier than it sounds unfortunately.

The NCAA/Europe Youth route is hard for most Pinoys because it requires parents to shun away would-be agents/managers offering instant financial returns in exchange for commercial endorsements.

Second, who pays for all the expenses abroad? I don't know if Chooks is that benevolent to sponsor someone with zero returns for them. MVP/SMC definitely isn't. Maybe Ayala or Razon but I'm sure there is a limit to how much they will spend.

Basically, we need someone with potential like Kai or KQ or Bahay or whoever but with the deep pockets of a Chris Tiu and parents who have foresight. And last but not the least, you will need to pray that the kid doesn't turn into a nutjob like Kobe Paras.

            Good luck with that.

Kai could easily dominate US NCAA. NBL was too dirty to a young big like Kai. The reason his rebounds were low eventually because he wont boxout after some games. He is already wary that someone would hit his back and would cause injury or slipdisk. There are footages of it and even Jawaii did nasty things to Kai.

I dont see anything special with banchero and chet is a project more than Kai. Banchero doesnt have high ceiling and could end up like derrick williams or michael beasley. Great undersize pf during their college days. Banchero doesnt have any defense and that strength advantage wont be present in the NBA.

For chet he is skilled but he is a very risky gamble. If you have seen Poku, he would be around the same trajectory but I might be wrong.
B League is no longer a "dirty" league and there are no more players out to "hurt" Kai.

So why can't he still box out properly? What excuses do you have this time around?

              • he has passionately followed kai for 8 years. but disregards the other prospects who are far better than kai. the nerve of this peezone to compare kai to the great larry bird.

his predictions all went down the drain.

Wouldnt it be funny if an NBA team somehow drafts Kai but never uses him and ends up like those greyed out foreign players in the draft's wikipedia pages?

Peezone's and his fellow Kaimaniacs slow descent into madness as they realize that Kai will never actually play in the NBA despite being drafted will be legendary, yes oplan Kaiju was a "success" if the whole goal is just getting drafted and maaaybe playing in the summer league.

This could be Kai's future (from the 2012 draft):

I also remember the more skilled than Duncan, Yao, Dirk, Aldridge, Porzingis narrative and Kai doing the Jokic or Marc Gasol path. Lesson learned, we really need to temper our expectations, not bad to be fan but hype should be grounded on reason and not blind following.

too bad he is already a undrafted nba free agent since his draft class was last year, but yeah that will be hilarious!
yearly, there are a number of players (American or not) who were drafted but never made it to any NBA roster, hope that they realize that the road to the nba is too difficult

                      • I'm a proud Filipino and any achievement by a kababayan or somebody with clear Philippine ties makes me happy. But that said, we Pinoys are too easily manipulated by hyping of our own. Reaction videos and hype videos are lapped up many of us, particularly those made by foreigners. I'm particularly irked by this. Many of us cannot distinguish from real admiration to manipulation for views. I guess Kai is just the latest personality that has been unreasonably hyped up by this seemingly collective need for outside affirmation. It's sad but I guess we can't escape 300 years of Spanish mind conditioning that quickly. But I hope many of our kababayans learn something from this reality check on Kai's NBA chances. The kid is a good Filipino player but everyone, including him and his backers, should be sober about the fact that he has a lot to work on to be a consistent good international player.

Don't forget American conditioning, which honestly might still exist to this day...

I cant blame them since things a bit different because this is basketball we are talking about. BBall is our chosen sport and is practically a religion here, the only problem is that we lack a "Jesus/Mohammed" figure that we claim proudly as out own like how Brazil has Pele and Anderson Silva, African Americans have MJ or Jerry Rice, S Korea has Son Heung Min or Cha Bum Kin, Japan has Ichiro or Shohei, and India has Sachin Tendulkar or Kohli.

Filipino Basketball have something of a polarizing reputation in basketball circles due to our fanbase, bizzare local culture (26 year old rookies, a three "conference" system, and teams STILL BASED ON CORPORATIONS?)and our lack of global success inspite of our hardcore obsession with the sport. We are a sad little novelty in the basketball world, our reputation os essentially just "Chinese basketball but way worse and sadder", not a good look since the words "Shanghai Sharks" and "Playing in Taiwan" has become everyones favorite insult to players who are seen as "garbage". No matter how much we hype up the PBA and Filipino Basketball, we will only be known as the little Asian that couldn't when even Korea and Japan has NBA players. The whole "Heart over Height" thing has became something of a inside joke to them and bakchanded compliment, especially since these days we canr even do small ball right and the "best players" who represent us can't speak the language, are more American or differentiate the Filipino KKK and American KKK, methinks of the time I saw someone got teased by Americans because someone called J.Clarkson Filipino.

Sure we had Pacquiao but the Philippines isnt really the boxing powerhouse that we make it out to be even in Asia. Things are a bit different tol.

                          • i was hoping and expecting that the bleague would be kai's coming out party, he was given the minutes early on but he was still inconsistent on offense and was really surprisingly lacking in defense. i think milling just came to a conclusion that kai wasn't that ready after all thus he had limited minutes later on especially in the playoffs.
