I sometimes think the 1st homegrown NBA player , will be some low key late bloomer, who just works on his craft silently. , and just does a boring role , like defense and develops a 3 pt shot late . Like imagine if a homegrown had the length and mobility of Norwood and develop a 3 pt shot like Pogoy. Perhaps Spo would give the role player a shot in the NBA

I'm not part of why this thread is toxic, this all started because Nightshift said I was blaming everyone except Kai after explaining my logic and reasoning. What in that post he quoted was wrong? Ignite DID tweak Kai's jumper, the one he used early on in his NBL rookie season. Bruton DID want to run a GSW-like offense. My joined date is 06-20-2021 and before that the toxicity between Peezones, Astigram and alt accounts who were trolling both of them were TOO much that I finally decided to create an account just to block them. Prior to that, I was just content on reading and didn't have the desire to comment.

If you base it on the recent toxicity, it was Peezones and greenarcher who were going at it. The only reason I knew it was Peezones is because people were quoting him. However I wanted to block greenarcher, but I couldn't find the function with this new forum so I asked around here.

I find it amusing that you even remember my comment and proceeded to allude to it as the cause of this toxicity.

For analyze, why would EWP and Kai accept the next star offer of 100000AUD per season set by the NBL. WTF, are you making them stupid? They are commanding atleast 800k-1M USD per year in the JBL if rounded per season. Yuda Baba JBL salary was not even near Kai's JBL salary then EWP will just accept pennies. Sophomore Season 2021 - 2022 (19yo - 20yo KAI) = Equivalent to his NBL 1st Year Pro 7ppg / 4rpg
Junior Season 2022 - 2023 (20yo - 21yo KAI) = Equivalent to his NBL 2nd Year Pro&BLeague 8ppg / 6rpg



*KAI would've been 4-year College Basketball Player... In a way, his Junior Season is a disappointment (Non - Improvement aspect)
This incoming season 2023 - 2024 should be his Senior Telling Season then...

Theres is nothing more painful and fascinating than Filipino basketball culture and Filipino basketball fans. Whatever pain your sports team has experienced is nothing compared to the Filipino Basketball Fan experience.

Hell, one of my ideas of a college paper is linking and using Filipino Basketball as a analogy for Filipino global politics/social issues.

The stats aren't impressive as per analyze.haha Kai has been playing way tougher competition ever since but they all can't wait. Their mindset is that Kai should be averaging MVP numbers while at those ages Cooks, Baynes, Landale and Gasol were getting measly stats of below 5pts and below 5 rebs.hahaha Some of them were even not impressive by age 22-24!haha

We should also be talking about promoting NZ prospect Ben Gold and the unknown NZ next Durant who I cant already remember the name.lol

Do you want to have a legit homegrown player to the NBA?

1.) Bring young prospects to US or Europe as early as young age, train there and exposed early to high level competition

2.) Stop being commercialized even at youth / college / HS level , If he's good talent, bring him / her to the highest level of competition (Just look at no.1)

3.) UAAP / NCAA should be emerge to be just a truly one collegiate tournament (Ala US NCAA style)

4.) Focus on grassroots, Most of Pinoys mocking Indonesian basketball, But they have a real youth program there unlike in PHL, The Indonesia Patriots playing in their PRO league consist of 17 - 23 year old playing against Grown men and professional imports

5.) Connection to no.4, SBP should create youth team program that will participate in the PBA, So that those young guns will expose against grown men professional imports

6.) Involve many FIBA youth tournaments, Bring the best prospects to play in FIBA competitions...


Your assumption is only just a fantasy dream... Legends are made not just born... MJ failed so many times but he push himself to be great... Even LBJ, Steph and any NBA superstars today... They are in the NBA because of hardwork and not just being born or hype....

Don't give up on Kai... Remember, legends are made, not born... All legends start being failed so many times... Kai should do overtime on his game, improve and not to give up yet on his dream.... Austin Reaves, Yuta Watanabe, Max Streus are those players are undrafted but they didn't give up on their dreams... Now become NBA rotational players and excellent role players on their respective NBA teams... But for sure all here will agree that Kai should be lock on Gilas spot in FIBA WC this summer... He is top 3 player there...
