If you're truly a Kai supporter (I count myself as one), tone it down man, you're doing more harm than good.
Amazing. Where in my response did I ever tell you to shut up? I provided my points and that was it. No shutting up involved. Lahat kayo puro appeal to authority when it comes to authority figures you agree with, and pure criticism when it's with authority people you don't, but when I do I'm doing more harm than good. Please see the double standard involved. You assumed that I told you to shut up, but I didn't see you in this thread when numerous people mocked us like Kaireem.

How about you amend that sentence? "You're doing more harm than good because you don't agree with us." Let us be honest here.

For example, when we criticized Bruton, so many people here defended him. Same points that DAdmiral is raising right now about Givony and Gaze, kasi speculation leading into facts etc. Oh ngayon ano, many Adelaide fans who aren't Pinoy are criticizing last year's team. What makes our criticism less valid than theirs? Kesyo we're Pinoy? Is this another case of Filipino self-hate?

The only one raising up Kai in that tweet btw is another Filipino.

The problem here is that you assume all of us Kai supporters think that he's NBA material now, and think that we're overhyping the kid because of that since you don't think he's NBA material now. My side is that Kai can still get into the NBA now on talent alone but won't get any PT, and that his window hasn't closed yet. I stand by my earlier statement that Kai must get into the NBA by hook or by crook because he's our best chance even with future talent like Philips, Lopez, and Amos. I think Kai still has a chance to get into the NBA until around 27-28 years old, which is a longer timeline than what people who act like their speculation is fact think. I even think most of them think Kai's NBA window is closed...which is not how it works. Unless Kai has an unannounced sickness or something which makes his body degrade of course (hopefully not).

It's not like I don't have issues with Kai either, which Kaireem mocked me for. Assumption din yan but I don't see you criticizing him for that. Listed some of those issues in a previous post too, but like I said, in one ear out the other. Over the years I've been accused a lot for things I never said.

Never told you to shut up, never compared Kai as a better prospect than Victor, never said that only other people can be blamed for Kai's underperformance, etc. All assumptions, accused at me.

lol I guess the organizatoin itself and popovich, although it would be great to see Lamelo + Wemby duo or Jalen Green + Wemby. Pistons also has great pieces..

This was the scenario we were expecting with Kai on draft day, hearing his name being called up and a reaction video of him w/ his family and friends.sadly it didn't turned up that way

Formerly, applicants younger than 21 must have either been college graduates or played four years of their eligibility;

Atleast that dreaded no. of units in college requirement was already removed from the requirement. Though they have to be 22 yrs old come draft daft

The PBA on Saturday announced numerous amendments to its policies, one of which involves the age requirement of possible draft applicants. From 21 years old, the league has decided to lower it to just 19, provided that the athlete has spent several years in college. Deputy Commissioner Eric Castro explained their reasoning behind the change […]

if things doesn't pan out then PBA will always be a fall back. next season I'd rather see him back in Japan (try to redeem himself) or Taiwan

        • Wasserman needs to find him a team that will actually use him for 30mins or more, preferably a cellar-dweller like Keifer's team.

If he still fails to get 20 and 10 with a team like that, then that's entirely on him.

Question is, will B League teams still be that eager to sign him after what they have seen?

what gaze observed is what people here observed too before he mentioned it live in game.. because some people here are close minded about it.. to the point you call him moron..

is it you and some people here think he is nba talent now? is it before that you guys say “ah kai is 1 and done talent in US NCAA and waste of time if he stays longer”. while some people like me predicted he’ll spent 3 years in college and some of you laughed about it..

now when he wasnt drafted, blaming on nba for being racist, gilas call up and other excuse that i forgot. now some of you change your tone “ah give kai time as he’s young.. look at giannis, marc gasol and you guys rushing him up”

some of you change tone on that..

don’t make yourself clean.. you’re part of the reason why the thread is toxic..

Taiwan might actually be a tier or 2 below the PBA. He won't make the NBA if he plays there. Heck I'm not even confident he'll make the league if he stays in the Bleague. I don't think NBA scouts are looking to sign people from that league..

I was part of those arguments that Sotto is NOT a one-and-done. I was strong proponent that he should have gone the US NCAA route.

He got ticked off last year when I posted Scottie Thompson had more rebounds than Sotto in one FIBA window. Now my point is proven Sotto really lacks aggression, motor in chasing for the rebounds.

I support Sotto. But I am a doubter if he would make the NBA now. There’s just too many deficiencies in Sotto that scouts see as not NBA material.

Looking back at the last 3 months, maybe Sotto should have considered an NBL1 stint?

NBA or not for Kai, I don't think that Taiwan league is a tier or 2 below than the PBA. T1 League allows 4 imports plus special foreign students. Naturalized and dual citizens are considered as locals there. P.League+ allows 3 imports with dual citizens considered as locals.

true, the locals are better in the PBA but imports are better in Taiwan, well at least he has a fall back if in case no offers overseas.

CBA would also be a good destination

i think the dleague requirement can be waived if the player rendered gilas duties prior the draft

PBA ought to remove that provision already, IMO. Pinoy players that have turned pro by playing at leagues outside the PH regardless if they're just 21 or younger should automatically be eligible for PBA draft. I admit, the likes of Kai are still rare for PH basketball but PBA should take note of such historical precedence and factor it with their policy making.
