Although this coming summer League I'm sure Kai will get an invite the same way Parks did. Of course, more highlights incoming lol
Oh yes you definitely said this when Kai spearheaded the U19 team.

I don't know about the others but I've seen Kai's refusal to contest for rebounds. Kahit effort stat na lang weather2x lang, so if he doesn't at least get decent stats equivalent to his minutes played then I'm ready to set down the Kai flag.

I just don't mock people who believe in Kai. Blog boys are nothing but nerds interested in ball.

He’s NOT NBA material. What’s the next excuse? Age because he’s only 21? lol . Well some here projected him to be drafted into the NBA (a top 10 pick) and even assessed he would surpass the likes of Okajuwon, Duncan etc. Great vision and eye for projecting prospects. lol
      Some being one person?

There are many rookies in the NBA who didn't belong in the league after getting drafted and some undrafted who got signed. I see the same problems as everyone else, I just don't shift all the blame towards the kid. Nor do I act like Kai doesn't deserve some of the blame.

We have a Kai NBA Draft prediction thread. More than half of the members that participated predicted him to be drafted without considering the available facts on hand like the non-appearance on ESPN’s Top 100 Mock draft, no invitation to the GLeague Elite Camp, no invitation in NBA Draft combine and no invitation to the green room on draft day.

But make no mistake I still support Sotto in every level of competition he participates. I am just against those who exaggerates and gives unrealistic projections and truths.

It's highly probable that Kai won't perform well in Summer League as it's every man for himself out there. You won't get noticed and have the stats if you are passive.

This! I don't even blame Kai for his strength deficiencies right now. Maybe he'll get stronger when he grows older. I just don't see him being NBA material.

I'm talking about the time Kainatics started hyping him, "he's a sure top 10 draft pick" "more skilled than HOF's" "faster than NBA bigs like Zubac, Adams etc

I'm referring to the Kainatics (trolls who spread toxicity and misinformation, well most of them are gone anyway) not the sensible people who believe in Kai

I remember that thread, I said he would be drafted early to mid 2nd rd. But regardless, how do you determine what are exaggerations and unrealistic projections, when you laughed at people who had genuine issues with other people concerning Kai, implying that they never blamed Kai in the slightest? Hard to believe one is being impartial with that.

The reason I don't count those draft day events anymore is because we're past it already. Almost a year in fact. Plus there have been many players who got into the NBA without that specific avenue before. Just because it was applicable before doesn't mean it's still applicable, and there were a number of teams who invited Kai for a workout, even a last minute one (forgot which one, I think it was Chicago). If people who think Kai was never NBA material discard events that showed his potential like U19 and TSF as just lazy PR stunts, then I'm free to do the same with green room invites which only extend until draft day and no more.

By IBN's definition and the reaction of some people in this thread, I'm being counted as part of the Kainatics after my comment. Naturally I'm defending my position.

Oh hell no. That one is true, besides the comment about posting up. Shaquille O'Neal is an NBA MVP, 3x Finals MVP, and a 4x Champ. Doesn't mean he can't be wrong on Inside the NBA.

What possible credentials can someone call Andrew Gaze, a respected HOF a moron for objectively assessing Kai

Shaq (and Barkley) are in a live show where they are constantly made to give takes that are meant to start debates and at the same time entertaining at the flick of a finger. Most of the time they have to keep talking just for the sake of talking. Their takes are like machine gun fire. Their experience is why they hit more than they miss.

Compare it to an assessment of a coach/analyst who have had time to contemplate on something. That one is like a sniper shot. He may still miss, but not by a lot.
