But he's also 7'6 and the game was played differently back then. Heck he had to play against Shaq, the Wallaces etc. Well to be fair Kai's competition is well below NBA level too..

well, he needs to add strength and bulk up. how much, would be up to the trainer. but bulking up correctly shouldn't cause any injury. you mentioned a very good point, how the game is played. most likely, Kai wont add that much weight (compared to Yao).

      • imo Kai doesn't need to bulk up, he just needs to strengthen his core, right now he is already having hard time moving, if he adds weight then that'll effect his mobility. His body type is more of a whang zhi zhi than a june mar banger type

It seems his sole role for this team is to get 1 or 2 alleyoops to start the game then that's it. His teammate simply forget him afterwards. Even when his teammates are trapped or doubled, they still refuse to pass him the ball. It also doesn't help that he simply stands around instead of jockying for position or trying to make himself open.
definitely no, maybe for marketing purposes, (hello dallas) but as a possible roster spot highly unlikely

I still think there's something wrong with his training. He always goes for the high flying highlights but he gets gassed out after a few minutes. I would rather he have less highlights but can play with the same effort and level for a longer time. I remember my PE teacher saying training for a sprint is different from training for a marathon. It seems Kai has been training for a sprint.

To be honest he needs to change it up. Yes he's still only 21 years old but he needs to show something.. Most people including me thought that the Bleague would just be a cake walk for him especially after his first 2 games but it's been alarming how he's been playing lately. Agents could only do so much in landing him good contracts

                Kai "Mr. 5 Minutes" Sotto

He's gassed after that initial 5 minutes of high flying dunks and blocks. LOL

Stamina palang, he already won't be able to match with Chet and Wemby.

                • So if he's a 5 mins max run guy, does thst mean Kai and AJ have to split minutes for Gilas at 5

True, different training, although Kai should have all the training at his disposal for the past 3 to 4 years

                    • I'm expecting better performance from Kai today, its a do or die gaming and considering his past 2 disappointing performance

suddenly remembered that tsf training which involved chairs, and that cringey football drills. They focused too much on highlights thinking that this will get him noticed rather than improving his fundamentals, conditioning and strength. Just like a poorly built rpg character
