  • Hopefully he can recover for the February window. I'd love to finally see a full force Gilas frontline with Kai, Edu, JMF and Malonzo.

Probably a hyperextension. Hopefully, he recovers fully.
Hope it's not an ACL tear or any serious injury

        • I can only hope & pray that this isn't an ACL tear.

          • Judging from the footage I think it’s not serious. We have seen worst. His other knee has been heavily wrapped I noticed since last year.

            • Kai and AJ doesn't need to play in the coming Feb. window

if indeed QMB's "green covered" PH docs are true as per ambush interview for that youtube online content.

then the ED and the newly designated PD should do the initial legwork ASAP

              • The entire Philippine basketball community is left in suspense about Kai's nature of injury. I'm sure by now, X-ray &/or MRI tests have already been done on Kai's leg/knee but perhaps his B-league team doesn't want to announce to the public about his injury as of now.

                • Why is there no official word yet regarding Kai's health? Kinda scary because if it were nothing serious then his team would come up with some sort of update.

It was avoidable,he got his man too deep in the shaded area and man can do was raised his hands up,stand his ground and hope for a charge, with Kai a dribble and a simple layup on his left,it looks like he;s going for a posterize dunk.I don't like this idea of Kainatics that if the dude embarassed him last game like blocking his attempted dunk,he should do it in kind.

                      • Sotto should get rid off that sneakers. It’s not reliable he slipped on his own.

The "Giraffe Fall," it's something extra tall players are prone to.

As his body matures and he gets stronger, he's also now generating and putting more pressure and force on his body. Strengthening from the ground up must be of utmost importance.

He and Edu have to devote extra effort on making sure their feet, ankles and legs are extra strong. Lots of strengthening exercises for the feet and all its tendons/joints and working out barefoot. Foot problems are the bane of 7-footers.

There are now a lot of scientific workouts for this. Wemby focuses on his big toe and core...

Barefoot bear crawls, pistol squats, resistance stretching, etc. The correct time to start doing this was when they were young. But better late than never.

Sleep is another fad that's getting traction. Wemby sleeps 10-11 hours a day while Shohei Ohtani sleeps 15 hours a day. Rest and recovery is just as important as working out.
