I wouldnt stop him from trying to make it to the NBA, but I would also set realistic goals. If those goals put him in the NBA, great, but he stays in at euroleague level at best, then thats fine too

Kai should just focus on being the best basketball player he can be. Time will tell if that leads him to the NBA or not.

One realistic goal would be BLeague MVP. He could still get an invite next summer provided he improves from his performance last year and he stays healthy. Expect a dominant year from Kai after that OQT stint.

With his improvement Kai can be the face of the NBL for at least a year again. How many viewers and engagement did they lose from his departure? They also lost jersey sales and ticket sales as Filipinos fill up stadiums in cities wherever Kai plays.

I just wish if he does return to the NBL they look at him differently now. He's not just another marketing tool to increase popularity of the league.

But with BLeague growing at this pace, if Kai stays there the rest of his career and produce solid numbers every season we can call that a success already. Being paid life-changing money to play basketball in a first world country is a blessing.

That's what its all about,from U16 til now that's one of the reason he didn't go Gleague all the way,a big offer from SBP,left NBL for Bleague.All that highlights of him improving in the Bleague curtesy of Yuki,it didn't get him the offer that they were expecting,instead it backfired,they signed Yuki instead.To the scouts he depended too much from his pg,he barely made shots on his own and that's not favorable to him.

it will be easier for him to learn Spanish, as some of our words were from Spanish, he can also acquire citizenship after 2 years of residence for being a citizen of a former colony

and that's the problem, younger NBA prospects are already better than him. I'm a huge supporter of Kai but as time goes by his window is closing. I retract my statement that he should put a halt on his NBA dreams as early as now, I think his last chance is next summer at 23 years old. By that time he should show teams he's a full package already. Face up game, physicality, shooting 3s from pick and pop situations, cleaning up misses, being the hub on the post or top of the key (aka bigman playmaking), being a legitimate roll threat, being a rim protector, durability, finesse, polished footwork and most importantly an NBA body. He has one year to work on those in the BLeague. After next summer and he's still not NBA material it's time to wrap it up

For one thing he doesn't need a pg that pad his own stats to make him looked good,all it did is made a point that Yuki is so good that he made an average tall center a dominant big man thru his fasciltating game.He needs to make his own shots,dominate the paint and beyond on his own.

yep and as seen in the NBL, not all point guards are willing and unselfish passers like Yuki. in todays game lots of PGs look to score first rather than involve everybody. that's where Kai struggled in his Adelaide stint where he's surrounded by 3 american imports. He just didn't get along very well with them because they were selfish as hell. Watch his games with Craig Randall II and you'll see how frustrated and disgruntled Kai was. Now imagine if he's in the NBA and the amount of egos he needs to deal with. In the NBA he needs to share the floor with 4 selfish players on a nightly basis.

Kai needs to assert himself and sort of become a swiss knife do it all big if he wants to make it to the league. He is certainly capable of becoming one. If he doesnt realize this maybe he's better suited to become a BLeague import for the rest of his career or as I've said, play his role to a T in the Euroleague.

He's gotta make his own mark in the Bleague without any other player attached to him,the center position in the NBA is so different from the way he's playing it,it just evolved to an analytical type player.
