Ignore vloggers… mas uto uto sumusubaybay dun… having 26 mins in a game is a positive news for him… it means he’s getting trust from his coach… and 10 rebounds is already good.. I hope he sustains that…

I saw parts of this game. He was a presence inside. This is a better stats for center. If he averages 5 pts 10 rbs and 26 minutes that's a good sign already. 26 minutes means he is doing well. And a win at that.

If he was indeed a presence, he has to be that presence consistently. Anchoring the defense, rebounding, protecting the rim. Consistently.

If he like this in Gilas, We don't need to naturalized any bigs for the meantime...I'm sure CTC will study how he will be effective under his tutelage..

like what solomon played in uaap juniors finals earlier, soft as hell, but has done all the right things in the stretch

                • Its pretty much what most of us observed the past 2 years or so,the lack of mechanics and motorskills affected his overall game.I agree that his career so far is disappointing but he's good enough for minutes in Gilas as long as he's playing with another big that can defend the PNR,he will be fine as long as there's an AJ or Kouame playing with him in GIlas.

We generally agree with this. Maybe Bakits wants to wait if Kai's recent good game becomes a trend or is just a fluke before he makes a video of it.

Disappointing because of hype surrounds him.. Because of them, Filipinos are expecting that he will be the “the great hope” for Philippine basketball… but if you look at his big potential that he have, especially that he’s still 21, he may not entering NBA and his chances are none… but he will be mainstay for Philippine basketball for the next 2 decades… many hate him, but when Gilas plays, Kai’s name should be always there… As long he will plays big for Gilas, that is already OK for me…

Talking with some old basketball fans that traces it way back in the 60s to now,it seems like this overhype thingy is culturally ingrained in our basketball culture, even back in the day there's always that one guy that gets overhype and when that player doesn't live it up to expectations, the blame game starts with other fans, coaches, team, etc. While AJ,where most fans don't think he's nowhere as good as Kai since he's just college trained,is mindblowing to them and just can't accept the fact without much hype, the often injured AJ is a much better all around player.

Filipinos are always over proud since we are hungry for recognition and we wanted to have 1st Pinoy blood in the NBA, but having over proud as a fan is also a distraction... From Japeth, Parks, Kiefer, Kobe and now Kai.. All of them victim by over hype by the media, vloggers and even the fans.. Kai should just focus on what he can control... He's still 21 after all, He have almost 2 decades of basketball career...

hope that this will be Kai’s average moving forward
