That's even past EJ Fehil prime territory moving into Samigue Eman prime.
Mamatay na nga lahat ng mga utak-squatter.
We have a new movement now, that young skilled players plying their trades elsewhere instead of PBA,where they have to wait until mid twenties to be drafted and then playing behind guys closing in at 40 and they think that's normal.I rather see the young skilled ones going somewhere else than playing in the PBA.Hopefully too, that some of the players in college if offered to play in the US,doesn't listen to "kumags"saying you're too young to play in that league, you're body is not matured enough, you have to wait til your mid 20s.

Kai got paid a ton but didn't actually deserve it. The G League money used to fund his "investments" in Georgia, the Smart sponsorship during the pandemic, the worth of his contracts in the NBL, whatever amount he got for playing with Gilas in the World Cup, now these stints in the B.League... it's too much for an undrafted 21-year old journeyman-to-be that sits on the bench.
Forget playing like an NBA prospect, he just has to play like a professional player which he only showed flashes of. It's Zho Qi all over again. The problem is the CBA is miles above the PBA in levels to fall back on and regain confidence. Zho Qi needed those years back in China to learn how to influence a game in the NBL level, what will playing in the PBA do for Sotto other than a waste of potential? He's at least 5 years away from that path and I can already see him playing for TNT/Meralco/NLEX.

EWP did its homework, maximize Kai’s hype and secure the $$$. Deep inside they know that this is a short ride and might as well earn as much before the entire world realize that Kai is not a nba level generational talent and new younger ger prospects become the flavor of the month.
They thought hype alone can get Kai in the NBA, atleast they got their money and the Sottos are financially secured. As long as Kai can generate interest online,
I find the argument that Kai need sign with the right team narrative laughable, he’s already 21 and playing in foreign leagues as an import. This teams signed him to contribute right away, and has no moral obligation to play Kai nor to develop him, should have not left Gleague 2 yrs ago if that’s the case.

I wonder if part of the contract with the new team,is get paid the same but playing only limited minutes,so that his "injuries(cough, cough)" will not come back.I wish we could have seen the Kai vs AJ game, this would really exposed who's the best big man in Gilas team and shut up some of the "fanatics".

Hey at least he's got a solid investment already in Kaiju Academy. And if our resident Kaiju expert Peezone is to be believed Kai is a multi millionaire already from all his supposed humongous contracts. It's just too bad he isn't in the NBA because of racism otherwise he'd be the best bigman ever or at least ahead of patpatin Chet, overrated Wemby, Mobley etc.

those fanatics will always find a excuse anyway, to them Kai is as infallible as the pope

I’m still confused behind the thought process of the Kaiju Academy
