Remember, Legends are made, not born... Jordan didn't born became a superstar, He work hard for that... Now, name young big man that Philippines can develop and use for international competitions aside from Edu, Kai or Junmar? There are many young tall prospects in the Philippines.. The problem is the country as a whole are not patience to train them to be serviceable... Don't waste naturalized slot for a position that we already have... Don't be fool boy!!!! Maybe you are 6'10 above, we can tap your services...
Who else you got? Chiu? He is a decent defender but he is soft. He regularly falls against 6’4 guys. I will put him in the pool. But if he is going to play a lot of minutes were dead.
The rest of our bigs are not really centers. Carl, Balti, KQ. Arana. Even include Pablo and Gagate.
Fact is we might not even have won bronze if Kouame wasnt there. At this point I think there is a chance we would have perform better with Kouame instead of JC. With Kouame, its like we have a slightly taller and stronger Edu. No more Junemar minutes. We wouldnt need to score much because our opponents wont be able to score much. There is a reason that oir best performance was with a center NP. Sorry Edu and Kai need help. And I wouldnt play Junemar if I have an alternative.
Maybr if 6’9 Demisana becomes halfway as decent defensively as Aguilar. But until then we need a center NP.

We can depend on Edu but we need to accept that we need another rim protector to lighten his load and offset the risk of injury. Kai was not as injury prone but is more fit as an off the bench guy with his skills and stamina. Lets just forget about Junemar. He is also better off the bench and no more than 20 minutes or less.

You say Demisina is decent, Then prioritize him to develop....Ange is also injury prone... Remember, He is also awful for the most parts in his Asian Games stint before he bounce back in the last 2 games... The reason why developmental team (For national team setting is Teams B,C etc..) is very vital and important... Look at Iran or even India trusting their local bigs despite basketball is not a popular sport there... They will not reach their ceiling if they will be not trusted... Are we need Ange vs Hong Kong? Do you think? That is the time put the likes of Chiu or other young bigs vs HK... It should be balance between winning and development of certain players...
Its not that AK looks bad until the last 2 games in Asian Games, its just he doesn't fit in Tim's system in some games but when Tim had to adjust his plays for AK he delivered as always.Heck even in SEA GAMES they should send the young guns, like 25 and under, win or lose the experience of playing outside of the Philippines is a winning experience the players.

Kai cannot do those with consistency and unless something drastic happens those are probably his main weaknesses aside from defense ( occasional blocks and alley oops are nice though) Edu might be our best big but he's very injury prone. Kouame will be taking an NP spot which is not ideal. If we play any other Cs aside from those guys and a new NP we are in trouble .

We have to accept that good as AJ is, we have to limit his minutes. We have no choice, we need a center NP. AK is it. He's not as injury prone as AJ. I don't know why he didnt have a surgery but it seems even 80 to 90 % healthy Kouame is good enough. His stats are decent in the French league. So at least he is not stagnating.

Better not to tap Ange, Kai and Edu in 1st window, especially against HK... Let them focus on their PRO careers and not to burn out to avoid more injuries.... We can beat HK even parading 2nd or 3rd class players... Take that opportunity to develop other young bigs to expose them in international competitions...
Here lies the politicis of choosing the players, somebody in charge might not like anyone assocated with Ateneo or MPBL,so more than likely those PBA players who didn't get to go will be in the roster this time.

No problem if they tap PBA players, IF those players will be the candidates for 2027 WC such as Malonzo, Oftana or Perez, But take that opportunity the tap mostly rising stars from UAAP/NCAA... Quiambao, Escamis, J. Cortez, Lopez, Amos, etc... should be there too...We should not put the likes Edu or Kouame against Weaker teams, They will gain nothing and possible injuries they will get playing against such weaker teams... Good test for Geo Chiu too playing against Duncan Reid to expose him this early...
The problem here is the ones going to make a pick are SMB so up to 10 players pretty sure comes from their teams that leave 2 slots for the token young and upcoming college guys.
