  • 2023 PBA Draft

  • #2
    https://www.philstar.com/sports/2022...inato-eyes-pba

Galinato is open to playing anywhere, and plans to listen to all sides on where he'll head after UP. But Galinato expressed desire to stay in the Philippines.

"I'm gonna entertain anything but I'd love to play in the PBA," he said.

As for any feelers this early, Galinato said that there wasn't much buzz yet.

"Not that I know right now," he said after UP's Game Three loss to Ateneo.

The Fil-Am prospect also said he will look to bring more to the table when he shifts to the pros.

"I feel like you can expect more. I feel like I should be in better shape," he said.

Henry Galinato Jr. 6'6 250 lbs

A little bit of some fantasy scenario here:

Possible PBA Draftee on those Filipino-Foreigner depending/assuming if those players are interested enough to play in the PBA, no existing contract from other overseas leagues, still within the age limit of 30 yrs.old set by the PBA and already used or forego their college eligibility.
      1. Remy Martin(6?0 Point Guard) of Arizona State Univ. and University of Kansas
      2. Sedrick Barefield(6?2 Point Guard) of Southern Methodist Univ. and University of Utah
      3. DJ Fenner(6?6 Small Forward) of University of Nevada
      4. Scuba Holt(6?4 Shooting Guard) of Saint Mary?s College of California
      5. Chase Lane(6?4 Point Guard) of Claflin University
      6. Brandon Bates(6?9 Center) of De Lasalle University
      7. Carl Lane III(6?9 Power Forward) of Lincoln University
      8. Caelan Tiongson(6?5 Small Forward) of Biola University
      9. Quentin Millora Brown(6?10 Power Forward) of Rice University and Vanderbilt University
      10. Kamaka Hepa(6?10 Forward) University of Texas at Austin and University of Hawaii
      11. Ron Harper Jr.(6?5 Point Guard) of Rutgers University

I think Converge have two firsts, one coming from Blackwater.

The inability to acquire a work visa in time for the Feb 2 cut-off date for Asian imports to register in the KBL is the reason why Justine Baltazar didn't make it to Korea to play out his four-month contract for this season, multiple sources told me.

They Probably draft Ricci Rivero and Balthazar, two former Ayo's players.

Are both of Galinato’s parents Filipino or at least Asian? If so, the KBL or one of the Taiwanese leagues is an option. He can’t play in Japan because he isn’t FIBA-eligible (yet).

Looks good. But Lucero might slide a spot or two. Not sure Schonny is a Yeng type of player though. Lane is a question mark for me. Does he have the papers? I might put Gallinato over Carino. The guy is a bruiser. For me like a 6'6 version of Noli Locsin.

Justine baltazar is the second coming of Pascal siakam..

Juan gomez de liano patterned his game after jaylen Brunson of the Knicks.

Damn. From NBA prospect to not even a top 5 pick in the PBA. Kobe would be a good marketing tool for the independent teams
