"A king may move a man, a father may claim a son, but that man can also move himself, and only then does that man truly begin his own game. Remember that howsoever you are played or by whom, your soul is in your keeping alone, even though those who presume to play you be kings or men of power, when you stand before God, you cannot say, 'But I was told by others to do thus,' or that virtue was not convenient at the time. This will not suffice." - King Baldwin IV

It should be... Go back to developmental team to participate in SEAG... No need to prove there... Let other countries enjoy regional competition, While Gilas concentrated in Asian and world level... SEAG is only low level tournament TBH!!!! I don't know why some people here too much serious about this regional tournament that is already proved time and time again that PHL is still undisputed kings of ASEAN basketball...
This I say: In the next SEA Games, silver medalist Cambodia would be back to the slaughter house. Indonesia & Thailand would be Gilas' main rivals.
Just let the SEA Games be a training ground or learning experience for our young/developmental players. Let's send our best players in tournaments like FIBA Asia Cup, World Cup & possibly Olympics."A king may move a man, a father may claim a son, but that man can also move himself, and only then does that man truly begin his own game. The SEAG should be viewed as a training ground for current and future FIBA mainstays. No more sending ineligibles who have no chance of being considered locals next time.Last edited by JAMSKIE; 05-17-2023, 02:48 AM."A king may move a man, a father may claim a son, but that man can also move himself, and only then does that man truly begin his own game. Maybe it's just me but I believe that the Cambodian experience should give Gilas an idea how to stop the Dominicans as well as the Angolans. If a team is athletic, deliberately slow the tempo. Never let these teams have an open court.
Shutting down the transition offense is vital for Gilas.Last edited by ja.he; 05-17-2023, 05:22 AM.Attack

Why is Chot's idea of using development players for SEA games sound like such a innovative idea, isn't this just common sense? Who is planning things ba for Gilas in SBP? Doesn't anyone think about these things ? This is 2 SEA games already wirb over 35 years old PBA vets

Never look too far ahead. You might stumble on a block right in front of you.

i don’t think so. This is a spot where we have a plethora of options, including Clarkson. This is just recency bias due to his strong showing in this SEAG. When you look at the pool landscape, he will have to duke it out with a lot of players eager to represent the Phi in this WC.Last edited by reamily; 05-17-2023, 12:39 PM.To becomes Asia's Best, we need to compete against the World's Best..
