I think during the 2007 FIBA Asia Championship, Dondon Hontiveros got more playing time than Renren Ritualo becoz while Dondon wasn't as explosive a shooter Ritualo was, Dondon was the significantly better wing defender than Ritualo. I think that was Dondon's edge over the likes of Ritualo & James Yap during that time. Dondon was a reliable shooter and can also play very decent defense at the wings - something Ritualo & Yap weren't known for.

crazy to think that THAT 2007 RP Team was a naturalized center away from qualifying to the Olympics. But had we qualified, we would have been massacred with our 5'9 PGs (Jimmy), 6'0 shooting guards (Caguioa, JJ), 6'2 small forwards (Renren, Dondon) and 6'4-6'5 PFs (KWill, Gabe). Everything happens for a reason indeed.
